Mya woke up next to her boyfriend and quickly started to get dressed. It was the first day of Winter Break and she was excited. She got on her favorite christmas sweater and shook Jeremy awake eagerly.

She heard Jeremy groan, roll over and sit up. "Whattttt." he whined and rubbed his eyes.

"It's winter break! And that means Christmas time!" she giggled excitedly.

Jeremy just shrugged. "I don't see why people make a big deal about Christmas." he said biting his lip.

"Well it's a religious holiday but it's also so much fun!" she giggled

Jeremy shrugged once more. "I don't want to help decorate." he said before laying back down and covering his head with the pillow.

Mya huffed and stood up. She then started to dig around his drawers for some sort of Christmas sweater. Once Jeremy heard her he panicked. "Don't dig through my stuff!" he said quickly.

Mya rolled her eyes. "Fine Mr. Grinch, I'm going to help Zari." she snorted and walked out the door to meet everyone out in the main hall already decorating. The tree was set and Zari was up on a ladder putting the star on top.

Mya got to work and started hanging lights and tinsel from the balcony. Pretty soon Jaime walked up to her. "What took you so long to get here?" he asked quietly.

"I had to deal with Mr. Grinch." he huffed.

"Ah, he always gets like that around Christmas time. I wouldn't worry too much." Jaime shrugged.

"Why is he like that?" she asked softly.

"He won't let me telling you so I won't." he sighed. "Ask him later." Jaime said walking away to finish decorating. After awhile, Mya had finished and looked at the tree. She decided to try and get Jeremy up once more. She ran to their room and found him in practically the same place. "Babyyyyy come see the tree." she whined pulling at his arm.

"I don't want too." he groaned.

"Why do you hate Christmas so much?" she asked quickly.

"I don't want to talk about it."

"You're so lame." she huffed and hopped into bed next to him. She glanced at the calendar and scrambled to it. "I forget about these other holidays, I don't even know what Hanukkah celebrates."

Jeremy flinched slightly. "Couldn't tell you." he said rather quickly.

Mya looked at him. "I don't know anyone who celebrates them either." she giggled and got closer to Jeremy.

"Me neither." he mumbled softly.

Mya got closer to him and quickly attacked his sides sending him into a squirming, laughing fit. He squirmed as Mya tickled him more and more as Jeremy landed on his back while she was on top of him. The bed was pushed against the wall so he had nowhere to go. "Mya! That tickles!" He laughed loudly as he tried to get away.

"I'm not stopping until you're happy!" she giggled and continued. "I'm happy! I'm happy!" he said trying to get her to stop.

"Good boy." she hummed and stopped. His chest was breathing up and down quickly. Mya laid her head on his chest. "Stop being a grinch and have fun."

Jeremy had his arms around her back. He pulled her close and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "I love you." he hummed.

"I love you too dork." she giggled before sitting up. "Get dressed and let's gooo." she said rolling off of him.

"I want to snuggle more." he whined softly

"No let's go." she said again.

Jeremy got up and dressed with her help. "I'll meet you down there I have something to do." he said before sending her out. After awhile Jeremy dug out his holiday sweater. He felt around making sure it was the right one. He could feel all nine lights as he slipped it on. He quickly changed again and ran out of the room leaving the sweater on the bed. "I'm here Mya." he said hugging her.

"I'm glad you got out of bed. Do you like  the atmosphere of the holidays? Sure there's no snow but maybe one day." she giggled softly.

"I guess." he shrugged. "I don't think it'll ever snow to be honest but a girl can dream." Jeremy joked.

"Shut it. I want that." she giggled and gave him a little kiss. Jaime walked over to them "Hey Jeremy I need you to come taste something." Jeremy nodded. "I'll be back Mya." he said running off with the guys.

Mya decided to go back to the room and clean. She made it to the room and noticed the sweater. She quickly deciphered everything. The sweater was a light blue with a golden menorah on it. She giggled and folded it neatly on the bed. "He's so weird sometimes." she rolled her eyes but then had an idea. She started to dig around his stuff and found an old dusty one laying in a box. She set it up and cleaned it off before putting the candles in. She wasn't exactly sure what she was doing but hoped for the best. He wouldn't see it unless she pointed it out.

She ran downstairs to find him where she left him. "Jeremyyyy, I have something to show you." she hummed. "What is it?" he asked softly.

"You'll be mad at first but it's a good thing." she said dragging him upstairs. "I found your sweater." she said once they got to the room.

Jeremy's heart dropped. "So? I've never said anything- or- I've never celebrated." he said trying to defend himself.

"That's a lie since I found your- uhm- candle thing." she said biting her lip.

"Menorah." he said correcting her.

"Yeah that. Anyways, you could have told me. I don't care." she giggled holding his hands.

"I wasn't sure and you're always so hyped for Christmas. I didn't want to ruin it." he sighed.

"We can celebrate both you dork. I don't mind." she hummed and kissed him. "Light the candles. I want to see how it works."

"Hanukkah doesn't start until next week." he chuckled. "You light a different candle every day."

"So it's a week long thing?" she asked sitting down with him.

"Yeah. Yeah it is." he hummed softly.

"So you're Jewish?" she asked softly looking at him.

He gave a small nod. "I was afraid to tell you since people liked to make fun of me for it before."

"You know I could care less." she giggled.

Jeremy smiled. "I'll light the middle one right now." he said finally getting excited. Jeremy got up and grabbed the lighter before lighting the middle candle.

Mya was happy he was finally happy. She glanced outside and watched the snow fall. She was excited. "Jeremy look it's snowing! Maybe you being happy brings out your snowy side." she giggled.

"It's nice." he hummed and hugged her from behind. He pulled her over to the bed and laid down with her. He gave her a kiss before snuggling up to her. Mya was happy she could help him be himself. It was something she always wanted. She kissed him once more before closing her eyes and falling asleep.
