Missing

What I miss
Is the warmth
Of a body
To cling to,
To feel the blood sing
To the rhythm of the
Heart beneath the skin.
I miss the molding of lips,
The caress of tongues,
I miss breathing in the
Exhalations from another,
Knitted limbs and cheeks
Squashed against ribs
Pressing foreheads to spines
In laughter, arms around
The middle cradling and
Giving comfort.
The way the sunlight hit
The bridge of his nose
In the morning in a godly glow
The twist of a mouth in thought
Kisses on my face
Going home with
The smell of him still on
My skin
And I ache
