She's ruining everything, the peace and quiet, the city, and soon the world. I have to do something...but what can I do? I have no powers, I don't  have the skill level she has. Maybe I should just join her, everyone else has.  Our country is desperate for hope, but no one does anything.

As she looked around all she could see was the destruction of the city. People everywhere who were once rich now barely had enough money to buy food. Buildings that had once been known for their beauty had now become run down. Streets that needed repairs had been neglected. People she had known, old friends, were just as bad off. She hated seeing people she cared about so bad off, but all she can do to help is to give them a smile to try to brighten up their dark day. What more can she do? She's bound to the queen. That's where her loyalty is, that's where it has to be. She has to do what is asked of her, no more, no less or she won't be trusted. But she still wants to help her friends. It kills her inside to see the people she cares about suffer at the hands of the queen and she's not able to help.

She wanted her friend back. They had been friends, before Samantha became the evil queen. She was lucky she was doing so good. Samantha trusts her, but only her. Sarah was thankful for what she had, but she still wanted to help others, she always has. That's why she became friends with Samantha, they both loved helping people. Now that's all changed, now that Samantha has all the power.

She kept walking, she had to get back to the castle or she'd be in trouble. She didn't want Samantha to have any reason to not trust her.

As she took the last turn before arriving at the castle she saw Jessie. Jessie had always been someone who she looked up to and enjoyed spending time with. She was just starting her life, she was young and had an exciting future. But now, thanks to Samantha, she's about to be  homeless and she's very hungry.  This always hurt Sarah so deep. She had a special place for Jessie, a special type of care and admiration for her. To see someone like her go from a fun person full of life who can always put a smile on your face to now having almost nothing, it brought so much sadness to Sarah. Jessie was the one person Sarah would make an exception for. She'd stop to talk to her, she'd hug her and assure her that everything will be ok and that she'll do anything to help, she'd give her money and sometimes food. Seeing Jessie always gave her new motivation to change things and make them better, and Jessie would always tell her, "If anyone can do it, you can."

I wish there was a way I could be loyal to Samantha and still help everyone else. There's so many people counting on me, so many people need my help. I still care about her, but I don't agree with what she's doing. I have to do something. I can't join her. I have to give our country the hope it so desperately needs.
