Ch. 34: Family Time

Start from the beginning

Sure enough there was a little knock on the door and Annie walks in. Ally shoots me an 'I told you so' look and I sigh.

"I'm scared." Annie says shakily. She's always been scared of thunder storms.

"C'mere Annie." I say motioning for her to come over here.

Her lip quivers and she crawls up onto the bed snuggling between Ally and I.

Annie yawns and I can see Ally smiling at me. She loves it when she's right.

"Hey mommy can you make pancakes tomorrow?" Annie asks sleepily.

"Sure sweetie." Ally replies and kisses her head.

Annie smiles and closes her eyes. She was asleep within minutes. Ally and I exchanged smiles, admiring our adorable daughter.

"Ya know, you could probably put her back in her own bed so we can finish what we started." Ally whispers.

That surprised me, usually Ally wouldn't say something like that.

"She might wake up again." I replied. This time I was being the parent.

Ally laughs quietly and lays her head back down, "I was just teasing."

I laughed, "Oh sure you were."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning I woke up and Ally was already out of bed. Annie was still sound asleep right beside me. Her face was buried in my chest, she looked like a mini Ally.
Leaning down to kiss her forehead, she woke up.
"Is the storm over?" Annie yawns, stretching out her arms and rolling onto her back.
I laughed at little, "It's morning sweetheart."
"Oh. Well good morning daddy." Annie smiles brightly. She was already wide awake.
I gave her a hug and she ran downstairs for breakfast.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

<~Ally's POV:

The house smelled of bacon and pancakes. I was in a good mood this morning and decided to cook up a big breakfast.

Annie came down and sat down at the table.

"Mommy I'm starving!" She whines.

"I'm cooking as fast as I can. The pancakes will be done soon." I assure her.

Flipping the pancakes was my favorite part. I'm terrible at it, but I'm determined to do a perfect pancake flip.

My first try didn't go so well. The pancake ended up on the floor so I just put it back on the griddle...hope no one saw.

Suddenly I felt arms wrap around me from behind, squeezing me tightly.

"Austin!" I laughed.

"Don't think I didn't see that missy." He replies and I blush, but at least he can't see my face.

"How am I supposed to flip my pancakes when your squeezing me?"

"Figure it out baby, I'm not letting go." He teases me.

"Why don't you go get Axel, he's probably awake by now. I haven't fed him yet this morning." I told him, hopefully he'd leave now.

Austin chuckles, "Your trying to get rid of me."

"Yep." I chirp.

He sighs and lets go, "Don't have too much fun, I'll be back." He winks.

"Oh joy..." I tease and he rolls his eyes as he walks upstairs.

I had a few pancakes done now.

"Annie! Pancakes are ready!" I shouted and I could already hear her running to the kitchen.

I put a pancake on her plate and brought it to her at the table.

"Do you want me to help you with the syrup?" I ask.

"Nope I got this." Annie giggles as she pours three times as much syrup on her single pancake!

"Annie..." I sigh and take the syrup away, "That's way to much."

She makes a sad face, "Oopsies."

Grabbing a napkin, I wiped all the syrup off her fingers.

"Can I just eat now mom..." She whines.

"Alright alright." I say in a rush. She gulps down the whole pancake within five minutes.

Austin came down with Axel and passed him into my arms.

"I think he's hungry." He says, grabbing a plate from the cabinet.

Sighing once again I took Axel to another room so I could breast feed him.

I guess I have to feed everyone.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I finished feeding Axel, he was ready to sleep again. I laid him down carefully in his crib and went back downstairs to see Annie and Austin doing the dishes.
"Wow, this is a sight." I laugh, since when do these two do the dishes?
Annie smiles, "Daddy said he'd pay me one dollar to help do the dishes!"
I looked at Austin and laughed, of course she was bribed.
"So what's in it for you?" I ask him with a smirk.
He shrugs and kisses my cheek, "I just like helping my beautiful wife."
That brought a smile to my face. I leaned in and pecked his lips.
"If you guys are gonna kiss, it's gonna be two dollars!" Annie says.
Austin reaches into his pocket and pulls out two dollars. He hands the money to Annie before pressing his lips against mine.
