Amara's POV

I woke up to hearing my alarm clock going off. I turned holding my pillow over my ears trying to ignore it. It was the first time in a week that I got actual sleep. I couldn't take it anymore after two obnoxious minutes. I quickly set up grabbing my alarm clock and chalking it at the wall. I laid back down passing out into a deep slumber. I woke up again after who knows how long to someone flipping me off my bed making me laying on the cold hard wood floor. I screeched at the feel of the cold floor and jumped.

" I swear Amara don't know when to get up do you! The bus will be here in 10 minutes! Also, that's the sixth alarm clock this week!" I yawned as Aura yelled at me. Aura has blonde hair that went to her shoulders, her gray eyes had rings in them making her parents even better. She glared at me annoyed.

"Aura you know how often I sleep, barely. I need to sleep longer." Are you on grabbing the clothes I had set out that night. I walked into the bathroom quickly before she could yell at me more.

I pulled off the tank top I was wearing a put on my black T-shirt in my jeans. I start brushing my hair as I thought about how it's my first year as a high school student. Which meant I was turning 15 soon, which meant I started missions on my own without help the thought pumped me up more. I quickly braided my hair and decided not to look for a bobby pin for my bangs which had my left eye perfectly. I brushed my teeth quickly and did one last check before leaving my room I walked up grabbing my bag and flinging it over my shoulder.

I walked downstairs to see Aura sitting at the table talking to my mom. Aura. Had decided to wear spaghetti strap dress that was a dark blue with a white flower at the bottom. I looked to see my mom smiling as she listened to aura, she was wearing a black tank top with jeans and yet to put on shoes, her black hair up in a bun. I sat down next to Aura and pulled on my combat boots and slipping my leather jacket on.

" so guess who broke her alarm clock...Again?" Aura said laughing

" hey! It's not my fault, the freaking thing is annoying and it scares the crap out of me." I yell.

"Amara that's the sixth one this week. First one went out the window. The second and third into the fireplace! The fourth one is still yet to be found. And the fifth and sixth smashed against the wall. How do you manage this?" My mom asked confused as I smile at my accomplishments.

" first off never question how things happen because it just happens." I said smiling."

" Wait! I just realize it takes you five minutes to get ready and it takes my 15! How was this fucking possible?!" Aura yelled in my ear.
" One, ow!! And two it's because I don't wear make up. I find it a waste of money, hiding who you truly are and a disgrace to MY appearance." I said all proud.

" Hiding who you are is your job. So that doesn't count in that honey." My mom said raising her brow. I roll my eyes and grab an apple and start eating it.

" we should get going now. It was great talking to you again." Aura said standing in stumbling a little in her heeled boots. I waved bye to my mom and walked out the door with Aura next to me.

" So you ready for this! Our first day of high school. I just can't wait to see all the hot guys." She squealed as we walked down the street to the bus stop. Aura is one of the three people who know that I'm an assassin.

" why am I not surprised that you're looking forward to seeing hot guys?" I laughed before finishing my apple.

" Wow, rude!" She yelled slapping my arm. I only chuckled and shook my head. The bus finally showed up after a minute of waiting, when getting on it smelled of sweat, fear, nervousness and a hint of excitement. I quickly found a seat that was in the back and sat next to the window, I hated sitting on the outside because I hate it when people purposely bumped into you.

We get to school and Aura and I take our separate ways. Before school started we made an agreement that we would pretend not to know the other unless we were in desperate need of the other. We decided this because our is one of the most popular chicks but not the rude bitch that torments everyone but more of a peace keeper. Whereas I, most people don't notice me or know I exist and I like it like that.

I went through all my classes and I was bored as hell through all of them because the teacher was explaining the rules and giving us papers. In every class, I sat in the back except for PE where I sat on the edge of the bleachers alone. I don't know anyone in any of my classes so I was alone in every class which doesn't bother me.

I got home later and gave my mom the papers I needed her to sign and I want upstairs flopping on my bed and looking to see a new alarm clock. I set up an opened my desk pulling out my journal and pen. I opened it and started writing like I did every day.

September 1

I remember why I hate first days of school ... All the papers that need to be signed. I don't see why we need to have them, most people don't actually read them and less read to them by the teacher. I like school but not when I have to put up with all that. But what got my attention was the guy staring at me, I have almost, no wait every class with him. I need to find out who he is and what he wants. But for now I must get ready to go train.

I put my journal away and got up to change. Even if I didn't have a mission I still train of my father. Some people hate their parents or just one, I honestly love my parents and look up to them. Even after what they did, leaving me with those people thinking they were my parents. But I seem to be forgetting something from when I was there and I don't know what.
