The Missing Story

Part 3: The Aftermath

The three of them travelled back to Solitude. Jons old Housecarl and Steward became Nates. Faye confronted her troops and people about the truth of her past and told them she'd understand if they were mad about her lying to them. Jon and Faye announced their marriage.

On the day of their marriage Mayko showed up to the castle.

"Mayko what are you doing here?"

"The Dark Brotherhood are planning an attack."

"I've survived them before."

"I think it's different this time."

"How so?"

"They are having their leader do it."

"What should I do then?"

"They are expecting you to have it outside right?"

"Yes."

"I suggest moving it inside then."

"Okay, can you get the captain of the guard for me?"

"Yes." Mayko went to leave.

"And Mayko?" He turned around. "Thank you."

"Your welcome."

He left. The captain came in and hugged Faye.

"Captain, we need to move this inside but where?"

"What about the temple? It's right there and we can keep you inside to get to it."

"That will work we need to inform everyone including Jon that its moved."

"Okay I will have people move the decorations inside. Also make sure that only guests on the list get in."

"Thank you captain."

"Your welcome."

Nate and Mayko came in as the captain left.

"I sent Travis to Jon to protect him for you but he won't realize that's why he is there."

"Thank you Nate."

"Your dress is beautiful."

"Thank you Nate." She hugged him.

"Faye this is your happy day why do you look so sad?"

"I'm not just mad because I want to know why the Dark Brotherhood is bothering me."

"The Imperials have probably hired them and are trying to finish the contract." Mayko said in a calm voice.

"How do I make it end?"

"It will never end until you die or they all die."

"Well I guess we are going to have to kill them all."

Nate smiled. The captain came in the room.

"Everything is ready."

"Thank you captain."

The four of them walked to the temple together. The captain stayed outside and Mayko went inside ahead of Nate and Faye. Nate looked at Faye before they went inside.

"Are you ready?"

"I think so. Everything is finally working out."

"You deserve it."

"Thank you Nate."

"You're welcome."

Nate walked her into the room and down the aisle to Jon. Jon was in shock to see Faye turn the corner to come down the aisle. Faye got to the end of the aisle and the Priest of Mara stepped in front of Jon and Faye. Nate and Jon looked at each other and nodded. Nate sat down in the front row. Before Faye turned to the Priest she looked at Mayko near the door and smiled.
