How It Happened

It just did
It was like a reflex
That action you take
When your heart is filled to the brim
With emotions
Things you dare not say
So when Father bought me my first novel
I knew how to express those emotions
When my English teacher
Handed me those poems
Told me to read them loud
I felt, tasted, smelled, saw
My instincts took over
And I found myself
With an empty heart
And my notebook full.

Author's note :
This was written in response to a prompt on how I started writing poetry. Don't mind me I'm just trying to get 100 words. 😂😂😂
