Today was boring. There was nothing to do. So, I decided to visit Lin. But like usual, the door was locked so I had to ask assistance of my friends. Once they unlocked it I went straight into Lin's room to find her sitting on her floor.
"Hello" I said.
She looked at me then looked back down, again. Lin was playing with her cloth dolls.
"Can I play too?"
Lin held one of her dolls out to me. I went and sat by her. I stroked the small doll's hair.
"I'll name her...Mika, like me."
Lin held up her doll.
"And your doll's name can be Lin, like you."
Lin got up and grabed a drawing pencil from her desk. She came over and inspected her doll. Finally she lifted up her pencil and stabbed it into her doll's mouth, or where it was supposed to be.
Lin smiled. She always did this when we played dolls. I smiled also.
Then two women came in and grabbed me. They always did this when I left my room.
Soon, they had put me back in my room and locked the door. I could hear them when I pushed my ear against the metal door.
"Maybe it's the door."
"No, we had it checked. The door was locked."
"Maybe someone has been letting her out."
"There is no way she got out on her own, the door doesn't even have a key hole or a handle on the inside."
I could hear someone join them, a man.
"Ladies? Is everything alright?"
"Well, Mika got out again."
Then without warning he opened the door and I looked up at them.
The man was Dr. Keck.
"Mika",he said," how did you get out?" He said as he knelt on his knee to meet my height.
"My friends." He looked at me with annoyance and pursed his lips.
"Can we meet your friends?" He asked expectedly.
"They don't like you. They say you scare them." Dr. Keck sighed.
"Well can you show me what they look like. You could draw a picture for me." He said. He got up and dusted off his pants.
"Well, Its about time for lights out." He said as he walked off. The ladies closed the door and I could hear the lock click.
I went in my bed and pulled the covers over me. The lights shut off. I lay wide awake staring at the ceiling. That's when I noticed the little girl sitting at the edge of my bed.
"Hello" I said.
The girl slowly turned her head. She was missing an eye and had something black trickling out of the corner of her mouth.
"Do you....want me....to...tell you...a story?" The girl whispered.
"Oh, yes please."
The girl smiled.
She started with a gravely voice, "Once there was a little girl. She loved dolls. She decided to play at the park with her dolls. But, the mean girls came and took her doll. The little girl tried to take her doll back, but the mean girls wouldn't give it back. So, the little girl got her scissors out of bag. She had to get her doll back."-The girl stopped and stared at the wall. The she continued, "She ran after the girls, threatening them so they would give her her doll back. They didn't, so she actually tried to stab a girl, but missed. Instead one of the mean girls grabbed her arm and...and....stabbed her....in the eye." The little girl put a hand over her missing eye. Then the door swung open and the girl at the edge of my bed disappeared.
"What was that?" The lady at the door asked.
I just looked up at her with a blank stare and we both said nothing.
The lady clear her throat and shut the door. The girl never did reappear so I ust laid in the dark until I drifted off to sleep.
