"Miss Annerton?"

"Here." I gently replied.

The teacher continued with the attendance call. That gives me time to admire the great view I had right beside my seat.

There was a window that showed the scenery outside from the third floor. It was autumn so the leaves were falling from tree to tree and on the ground. I've always liked watching this in the morning before class starts.
"Mr. Villiers?"

There it was. The name that kept repeating itself everytime attendance starts. Villiers. I glanced at the empty seat beside me. No surprise there.

The teacher sighed. "This young man... I wish I could just throw him straight to detention." she shook her head.

Apparently, you can't just send a student to detention without knowing where they are.

Travis Villiers only shows up during midterms and final examinations. I don't know but even if he ditches class, this guy actually passes. He's also quick enough to escape the chances of detention too.

He wasn't really that great of a boy but I have to admit, I am envious over him. He's able to get out of the worst situations without even trying. Wish I could be like that.

The bell rang. Lunchtime.

I took my lunchbox and opened it, revealing last night's leftovers and a rolled omelette. I rushed to make this because I overslept. Better than eating nothing, I guess.

I was about to take a bite of my omelette when another lunchbox was slammed onto my desk. Shocked, I dropped the piece of omelette.

"What the heck...?"

It was a pink lunchbox decorated with yellow flower patterns. I looked up and came face to face with Winry Jackwind. She has brown hair tied into a ponytail and her sleeves were rolled up to her elbows.

"Did I scare you? Sorry about that, Mira." she giggled. "Let's eat lunch together!" she sat down on a chair across from me and opened her own lunchbox.

Winry is one of the few friends I've made in Liberty High. She approached me first and I just kinda went along with her since she's so nice. After a while, she just grew attached to me.

I didn't mind it at all. Her class was right beside mine so we would see each other a lot.
I just nodded at her and continued eating.

I shuddered as I watched the people playing across the gym. Sports are scary...  And this is P.E. class. I can't ditch it unless I prove I'm sick but I can't exactly fake being sick. I'm not as low as that.

I just have really low endurance and strength. This class is one that I'm sure to fail.
I sat down in a corner and hoped that no one notices me.

"Are you still scared of playing something?" Winry asked me. She was good at everything in P.E. and once again, she's another person I'm envious of.

I hugged my knees and curled into a ball. "Not 'scared' exactly... I just can't play anything right." I corrected her.

She hummed. "Well, you know Mr. Ruthless is going after your ass if you don't participate." She warned, twirling a ball on her index finger effortlessly.

I turned to Mr. Ruthless, he was supervising the volleyball group. He was the P.E. teacher and also the one I personally dislike the most. I mean, he pushes his students over the curb. Anyone would dislike being pressured by this man.
