Quantum Leap: Mistaken Generation.

Her name was Elizabeth. Elizabeth Beckett. Her heart was pure, her smile was flawless, but her determination was endless.

Liz was trained by her own mother, (who went by her middle name,) Samantha who worked on Quantum Leap as the lead scientist along with Al and Gushie back in 1999 in New Mexico. It was unknown to Samantha at the time that Sam was her biological father, however it was made clear to her after the birth of her first and only child, Liz and took his last name.

Take a second to imagine her shock. This man she works for that doesn't acknowledge her and barely exists happens to be her father. She was not angry, in fact she was amused at this fortunate event. This meant that she took over the project ASAP and the initiative to bring back her father, but at a price.

As the leader, she cannot step into the continuumand abandon all she knows. Oh, no, there is no time for her training at this point. She had one option left.

She must condition her only daughter and throw her in the space-time continuum whenever the time came. Luckily for Samantha, Liz was exactly like Samuel, and sacrificed herself for the cause. Sacrificed herself for him.
