'Hey, how are you?', she didn't see his face, but he had a nice voice. She tried to speak but had no words to say.
'hey, are you okay?', his soft voice spoke again, 'i- m maybe?' she stuttered.
'you sure?', he laid a hand on her shoulder, his soft touch made her shiver, her cheeks were redder then ever.
'who are you?', she asked and frowned, 'you don't remember?', disappointment filled his voice, she did recognize his voice but just couldn't remember him.
'n no, just t tell me who you are', she spoke, he shook no. 'you really don't remember?', his voice cracked.
'I'll see you again, bye', he walked away, leaving her there, so confused that she was crying.
All sweaty she woke up, tears streaming down her face, another bad dream.
Kardelen groaned and rolled outta bed, she grabbed her phone.
6 AM.
She gets dressed and runs downstairs, 'hey mom', she sat on the couch.
'you sure you don't want to go to school? Don't you miss your friends?', her mom spook and handed her breakfast.
'no mom, we talked about this, I'm doing online school as long as he lives!!', she said, slightly getting mad.
'baby come one', her mom said, giving Kardelen a side hug.
'He ruined my school life mom, you know that', a tear rolled down her cheek.
'I know baby but don't you miss your friend? You never go outside anymore and I heard from Sheniva's mom that she misses you!', her mom looked at her.
'Really?', Kardelen asked with a smile on her face, 'yeah! And she's so worried, you never answer her text or calls anymore', her mom looked down.
A knock on the door.
'should i get it?', her mom whispered and kardelen shook no.
Another knock.
'I'll be right back', her mom opened the door.
'Hello ma'am i know it's six AM and i'll keep doing this every morning till she's awake when I stop by', Kardelen heard a crying voice.
'you're lucky today love', her mom said and walked in with the person.
Sheniva stood there, crying, wet clothes, hoping to see her best friend again who didn't want to speak to her for over a year.
'hey', Kardelen softly spook, not looking at the girl, 'hey, i i tried to text you a and call you b but you never answered, I i tried to see you every morning at six AM for the past 8 months but you were never awake', the girl said, tears still streaming down her face.
'i'm awake now', Kardelen said, standing up, 'i see', Sheniva said looking down.
'you wanna borrow some clothes?', Kardelen asked her best friend and she nodded. Together they walked upstairs.
'Hey, shen?', Kardelen asked while giving her some clothes, 'hmm?', Sheniva responded.
'can i ask you something?', Sheniva changed and sat on Kardelens bed.
'yeah, ofcourse! What's up?', the girl frowned.
'why 6 AM?'
