so i actually wrote this letter for an english assignment in class. the prompt was to write a letter from the perspective from a world war 1 soldier. i basically turned this into a ww1 stevebucky au, but other than a couple words and the date on this letter, it can basically fit within the canon ca:tfa timeline of ww2. hope you guys enjoy it!
i only wrote the one letter, but i might write a continuation or something if i feel like it
this letter was also partly inspired by this fic im reading on ao3. it's called "this is my last breath" and it's written by flybynightgirl. i highly, highly recommend y'all read it if you want to be in all your stevebucky feels. it's the definition of slowburn.
(also, bucky has a brooklyn accent so the spelling and grammar in here is kinda weird. i was just trying to write the way he would speak back then. and yes, i know that bucky was actually a secret nerd who did super well in school, so he probably has perfect spelling and grammar but... eh)
