Class Assignment

     Roman was a bad boy. Hated school & never listen to his mom. Jannie was a nerd. An A+ student. Jannie was in love with Roman the minute she laid eyes on him. 

"Class it's time to pair up." Mr M smiles "We're gonna do a project & it's gonna be fun, so i'm gonna pair you guys up and you're gonna get to know each other and tell the class about your partner. You guys are gonna spend everyday with each other. If you can't find a way, find it anyway." 

" Stacy & Allen." " James & Leah" " Roman & Jannie" when i heard that name i panicked, I froze.  Mr M finished calling out students names and everyone started sitting next to their assigned partner. I look up from my paper and a big broad figure stood in front of me. 

" Jannie, i'm so excited to be your partner." He sang  " Yeah, well me not so much." I shrugged          Mr M began to go over the assignment and we had a whole week to finish it. That meant I had to see Roman everyday this week. I smiled knowing this was something  that I really wanted but he didn't need to know that. 

   Everyday for the last week I spent  it in the library. I woke up 2 hours early and met Roman in the same spot we would meet at. We would sit with each other drinking our coffee and laughing. Getting to know Roman for the last week will always be something i'll cherish. He was perfect to me even if he didn't have a perfect life. " Roman's dad left when he was 9 leaving roman to be the man of the house. It caused him to act up. He didn't want be a responsible person.  His dad wasn't so why should he. He wanted to party and sleep with girls and  forget their names. He just wanted to live in the moment & not regret a single thing.  His mom works two jobs and lives paycheck after paycheck. She's a huge part of his life & roman thinks of his mom as his biggest supporter in his life. " The whole class applauded and soon class was dismissed 

   "This past week has been amazing & getting to know you more has been such a highlight of my week  " He smiles at me "I enjoyed it honestly and I like getting to know you, you're not such a bad guy" before I knew it Roman was leaning in closer to me and I didn't even care what was about to happen. He kisses me.   The kiss felt like a lifetime but soon he pulled away.

" Jannie, I think you're the only girl who's ever sat  & listened to me,  I've never been crazy about a girl before. "

I was okay and safe for the first time in my life.  After all he was the most beautiful person i'd ever seen.
