It was a nice day in Inkwell. Alice Angel decided to go out for a walk. She left a note on the table for her housemates, Bendy and Boris, grabbed a water bottle, and went out. She was astonished by the beauty of Inkwell while it had nice weather.
20 minutes into her walk, she saw three individuals that made her look away and hope they didn't recognize her: Charley, Barley, and Edgar, better known as The Butcher Gang. Unfortunately, they did notice her, and Charley made swift work of knocking her out.
When she awoke, she was tied down to a wooden chair. Charley and Barley entered. "Where's the other one? Edgar?" Alice asked. "Oh, he's out in the hall." Charley informed her. The angel could only hope they pulled yet another comedic stunt out of blind stupidity. "We'll be back later." Charley said to her. Barley nodded and followed Charley out.
Edgar seized the opportunity and rushed in. He then started to free Alice, by using his teeth. 3 minutes later, Alice was free. "Why, thank you." she said to him, slight harshness in her voice. Yeah, he did help her, but he was still a member of The Butcher Gang.
"Nope, I's still gotta get ya outta here." Edgar told her. There was a secret door in the room that Edgar had never used, due to his lack of hands. He showed it to her. "Well? Open it." Alice said to the spider. "I can'ts. I don't have hands. I do know the code." he said.
Alice and Edgar agreed that Alice would open the door. Edgar told her the code, and they entered. The door closed just as the main door was opening. All Edgar and Alice heard was a loud scream, coming from Charley.
"Okay, run run run run run run run run run" Edgar said to Alice. They both went as fast as they could, but unfortunately, had no idea where they were going.
After a lot of going the wrong way, Edgar and Alice "escaped", but in reality, landed right in front of Charley and Barley. "Ah-ha, there you two are." Barley said.
Charley tried to grab Alice, but Edgar kicked his hand. "OW!!" the chimpanzee exclaimed. Him and Barley looked at Edgar in shock.
"Just leave her alone! She never did nothin' to us!" Edgar says. Alice stared in disbelief. Edgar was standing up against his friends/coworkers. Edgar soon escorted Alice out.
"That was very brave of you, to stand up against them like that. And thank you for saving me." Alice said, more kindly than before. Her kind tone caused Edgar to blush.
"It was nothin'..." he said to her. "Then this is nothing as well." Alice said, teasingly. She kissed Edgar on his head, then turned and left.
Edgar stood there, unsure what he felt. He knew one thing though.
That angel is quite the gal.
