You won't mind if I kick off this book with a sad chapter, will ya?

~a word sadder than almost~

Have you ever heard the saying, the saddest word is almost?

Guess what?
I think not.

Almost here!
Almost done!

Doesn't that sound good? It sounds so happy when used in the present tense.

But I found a word yesterday, which I don't find happy at all.

Posthumous.

Okay, listen up. I knew about this word long back in January when Poet |Artist got released. They said it was a posthumous album.

I looked it up.

So it basically means something that has been like... dedicated to, or made for someone after that person is dead.

Well...?

Whenever I see sentences like,

"He was posthumously given the award" or "the book was posthumously published" I just feel bad that they didn't notice that person, or didn't do the work in time till it was too late.

My dear, you've been too late. You couldn't get the book out in time. You realized your mistake only after that person was dead and then gave the award. The album...I'm not very sure of that. I think it was originally supposed to be released in January.

Okay.

That's the story.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
