The alarm on the clock rings loudly. Kiryu’s eyes opened and look at the clock. Its 6:45, He needs to wake up and go to school. He gets up and went to the bathroom, looking at the mirror with his bloodshot eyes. He brushes his hair with his hand and gets his toothbrush. Spreads toothpaste on top of it and his day started.

My name is Kiryu, Kiryu Aoi. Half Japanese, height: 5.6, weight: 58 kg, Age: 17

My grandparents said my mom is Japanese and my dad is American. But they say I look more like my mom. Well, I have squinty eyes and black hair after all. My grandparent from mother’s side lives in Kyoto, Japan and my dad’s side lives in the southern part of the U.S.A. They both agreed that I will live here in Los Angeles and they both support me by sending money because they all want me to get graduate college. I’m still in high school because I decided to live on my own. So, I live in this humble small town house.  I do what normal kids do… do home works, pass some tests, eat, draw and live in the internet.  I’ve always been alone. At school, after all the classes, I got to some places to spend my allowance on. I love eating but for some reason, no matter how much I eat, I don’t get fat. Then I go home. Not much contact from the outside world, just play games, argues with some stranger over the internet, watch porn and that’s pretty much it.

Kiryu opened the door and locked it, he stepped outside and walks down the stairs. He looks at the time in his phone “7:12 am” “Not that late… Not in a hurry either.” He pulled out his earphones from the pocket of his jacket and plugs it to his phone.  He opened the music player from his android phone.  The phone reads “The Arcade Fire – wake up”. He continues to walk and the music surges through his ears. He walks past strangers with dull faces and looks at the father and son playing catch and bows his head slowly. “He’s fucking lucky.” his eyes full of loneliness. He keeps walking along the path and lead him to an intersection.

I don’t need to take the fucking bus. My house is just a short walk away and I don’t want to be with noisy douche and bitches. I like walking alone, I can hear myself think and I don’t want anybody’s company. I’m not a fucking emo or some shit like that, I’m not a fucking poser. I’m always quiet. Watching the world from afar and laughs inside my head if I see other people’s bullshit bringing them down. Basically, I’m evil inside.

An arm wraps around Kiryu’s shoulders and pulls him. “Hey! Sup’ bro?” with a smile on Greg’s face. “Then there’s this asshole” says inside Kiryu’s mind.

This is Greg. He’s been with me ever since I moved here in L.A. It’s just a random encounter with him. He’s nothing special; well, I guess he’s a bit special. He’s the only one I hang out with and it’s nice not being alone from time to time. He opens up he’s mind to me and I just go along with him. Of course I’m not his only friend here. I always leave when he has other company with him but that doesn’t get in our way.

“You’re not taking the bus today?” says Greg.

“No, I don’t wanna be with a bunch of douche bags.”

“Oh, well that’s too bad. Considering, you’re already one!” boasted by Greg.

“Shut the fuck up, asshole. I already turned off my music just so you could talk with me properly. How the fuck am I the douche?”

Both teenagers walk to school with their backpacks in their back and continue the day like normal. The bells began to ring and lunch time is over. Kiryu sat down in his desk in the back of the room. It’s his history class and the teacher writes on the board “What if we are attacked?” the chalk was put in the teacher’s table and the she stood in front with her arms crossed on her chest and a smug face.

“What if we are attacked?” said the teacher.

A student at the front raised his hand and the teacher to him and let him spoke.
