As the fight ended a beam of light enveloped him and in that moment he saw eternity, and he was driven mad. He could see all that ever was, all that could ever be, and everything inbetween. All the possibilities of the future and all the paths hat could've been taken flashed before his eyes. The wars fought and the ones that could've been but never happened. As he saw them he was unaware of the outside world.

His friends and fellow heroes tried in vain to wake him from his visions. The glazed over, unseeing eyes he possessed all the while he was still standing up was unnerving to everyone in his line of sight. Several minutes passed before he finally blinked, clearing his eyes, although leaving behind a mad glint.

With that he spoke in a harsh tone, "Do you know what I just saw? Do you?!" He looked tired and angry all at once.
"Why? Why would you do this to me?!" He screamed at the villain.
"Don't you you know? Or at least suspect? It's to give you what you deserve! To give you just as taste of the pain you have caused me to experience."
"Well you got your wish. Now I know everything, everyone and I will never forget!", and with that he broke.

He disappeared, never to be seen again.
