Cool wind rushed around like wolves. Blackness covered the sky and colours dashed across. But the silence was deep, and storms raged in the faraway sky. Aurana stood on the mountaintop, looking over the frightened world. If only I could find the others, she thought, then we could save the world from this unnecessary war. The location of the other promised heroes was unknown; they could be anywhere. And for weeks Aurana had wandered, howling, waiting for an answer. Soon she had come upon the mountain, and so climbed it and stood on its top. I could see farther up here, and plan where I would go next. According to the information I got before I left, the other heroes had the powers of the Sun, fire, ice, sky, peace, war, Order, Chaos, life, death, light, and dark. So I inscribed it with some blackberry juice onto a scroll, which I kept with me so that I could write down anything else I discovered. One day on my journeys I got the information that the one with fire powers, named Kyran, was heading north. So I planned a route north, to see where Kyran was headed to, or where Kyran is. Suddenly lights flashed brightly in the sky, and sudden daylight shone through the nightly covers. Just great. I thought. The gods are dropping to mortal lands. Hopefully not too much damage is done and they'll return to the heavens again. During this war, the gods constantly fell out of the heavens. Perhaps the heavens couldn't keep them up when the war drove their powers, their souls apart. But there's no time to waste. I bounded down the mountain, heading north.
