Zelda stared at him in shock as the last of the red faded from his eyes,

"I...I don't know," She refused to look him in the eye.

He's not him, he's not him. They're two different people...sort of, She repeated to herself as she took a deep breath to calm herself,

"What were you dreaming?" she asked in a calm voice, reaching out for his hand. He jumped back before turning away,

"I need to talk to my ancestor," he said, avoiding the question,

"Link, you can talk to me. You know that, right?" She tried talking her loudest, but what would usually be a scream instead came out quiet.

He looked back at her apologeticly,

"I know. I'm sorry, I'm just on edge," He slowly walked over to her bed and sat. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath,

"Ok," he finally began, "In the dream, I was Dark Link," he paused as he saw her shocked expression, "It was dark, and Dayfos was there. I-I mean he- was anxiously expecting something to happen. He was excited because he was getting her, whoever that is, and he wanted to use her to destroy me," When he had finished, she was speechless. Luckily, he was looking down, so he couldn't see her scared expression. She managed to calm herself quickly,

"You are not him, Link," she said, not sure who she was assuring. He didn't respond.

She walked over and sat beside him before taking his hand. He looked at her and smiled weakly,

"I love you," he said quietly,

"I love you too, and I think you were right before. You need to talk to him,"

He nodded and stood up,

"Ok, but I think I need to do this alone," he turned away and walked over to the door. Zelda nodded,

"Of course you do. I have some matters to attend to as well," She stood up and hugged him. He smiled and winked at her when she had pulled back. His newly returned blue eyes seemed to brighten slightly, and he walked out of the room.

She took a deep breath and turned to her wardrobe. She pulled out one of her royal gowns, very similar to the one she usually wore, except royal blue. She put it on quickly and did her hair. She put her headpiece on before walking out the door.

Sarth was already standing in the corridor, appearing to have been waiting for her,

"Good morning, majesty. I assume you shall be pleased to know that I have indeed managed to complete some of the paperwork that had piled up in your 3-year absence," He smiled, obviously proud of himself,

"Bring me all of the stack, including those that you have finished. I wish to make sure the decisions you made where the ones I would have made," Sarth's smile flickered,

"Oh, um, of course," he bowed and strode off. She turned and walked down the corridor, in the opposite direction. She picked up the end of her skirt as she walked down the large spiral staircase towards her private garden. It was, or used to be, on the far side of the castle, where not many people ventured. She enjoyed the peace and quiet.

At the bottom of the staircase, she pushed open the large door. The warm, spring air met her as she stepped outside into her beautiful garden. The normal buzzing of activity was suddenly turned to sweet silence. She walked forward, humming her lullaby, to a marble table. Sitting down, she looked around. White and red roses, lilies, and orchids surrounded her. A fountain, appearing to be the three goddesses, was a few feet away. A weeping willow was in the far corner of her garden, and under it was a swing, where she had spent most of her time as a child.

The only person who knew the location of her garden was Sarth, who at this time walked through the door, arms full with various types of paper,

"Here you are, princess. I hadn't known you would return here. So, what do you think? As you can see, we have remodeled a bit. I do hope you approve of it," He walked over and placed the stack in front of her before looking at her expectantly,

"Of course I approve, Sarth. Good work," she smiled warmly at him. He quickly returned it before bowing and exiting the garden.

Zelda took a deep breath before turning to the huge stack. Sensing how long and boring this task was bound to be, she wished to be with Link. Whenever he was around, her day was always...interesting.

She smiled as her mind unconciously drifted to him, and the papers were suddenly forgotten.
