I could hear him in my mind. 'So let's talk and run.' He led the way with me trailing behind him, going over the events that took place starting with the joke Lexie had made. I could feel the tone of his thoughts, he was amused. 'So you're planning to runaway with your fae friend are you?' He questioned me. 'It was a joke Draco, nothing more. We were just letting off some steam.' I answered him. He chuckled. 'I'm just teasing, but surely you of all people should know not to mention the forbidden woods.' He warned me. I growled at his warning. I was so sick of being treated like a child. 'You aren't being treated like a child Chris.' Draco argued. I huffed at him, only for him to chuckle again. 'I need to know what happened to him, he wont tell anyone.' I sighed after a few miles of running. Draco's wolf bristled a little. 'We still don't know what happened to you, I could say the same ya know.' He countered. 'What happened to me was not as bad as what happened to him. I was captured and held in place with a hand over my mouth. We were outnumbered. He didn't even realize I had been snatched away from his side, what with him being the leader back then of our little two person group.' I finally caved. I collapsed where I was at. Not really wanting to deal with this right now, already having to relive the damn dream every night. 'What dream?' Draco asked as he circled back to where I was and sat back on his legs. I rolled my eyes at him and sighed. There's never any privacy when in wolf form. So I conjured up the memory and let him see what I'd been hiding from everyone for years.

After a while of sifting through the memories I kept well hidden from the pack and our parents, Draco finally knew everything. 'Well that was certainly a lot, and you keep having a dream about it?' He questioned softly. 'Every night for almost a month now, and my birthday is coming up soon.' I pointed out. He pondered for a moment. I didn't invade his thoughts like most of the pack would have. 'We only have one piece of the puzzle. He has the rest, you need to get him to tell you.' Draco said. 'Are you kidding me? Talk to that asshole?!' I exclaimed a bit stupefied. Why would Draco even recommend that? 'Because he needs to tell someone. You two were best friends from childhood, neither of you know what happened to the other. You both basically went through something traumatic together. You're both angry at the other for stupid reasons. Just make up already.' Draco fired off.

He thinks he understood but he didn't, he could only understand it from the outside. He didn't get the pain I was in because of what happened. 'You forget that we are twins and I can actually feel you.' He tried me. 'No, you only feel a partial of what I feel Draco, you are not me, so don't sit there and try to tell me you understand because I promise you, that is far from the truth!' I growled back. I stood and left him, running back the way we came, until I reached the car. I morphed back to my human body and dressed myself, before running through the woods to my own spot. A lake that glistened when the sun hit it just right. It was clear and so you could see the bottom. I gazed at the few small schools of fish as they swam. Life was simple for them, they didn't have to think about anything. How I wished to be a fish right now. I grabbed a stick and drug it through the water on the shore, watching how it broke the see through glass.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket so I checked it. Lexie was calling me, so of course I answered. "Where are you?" She asked me. "I'm at my little hide out." I answered her. "You made him cry like a little bitch." She told me with a bit of a chuckle, but I couldn't find it in myself to laugh along with her. When she picked up on this she stopped. "So I take it that doesn't make you happy." She stated. "You know an awful lot about me don't you?" I countered. She scoffed at me. "I know your whole life, beginning to end." She said. "Thought so, so in answer, no I'm not happy about it. He still shouldn't have came at me with such aggression. But why so suddenly?" I thought out loud. "Maybe you should ask him." She said, and then I heard some shuffling. "Lexie what do you mean?" I asked. It wasn't her voice that answered me though. "Meet me there tonight, let's say around midnight." Was what I heard. That must have been Zate. There was a calmness to it when he spoke to me this time. "Fine. Midnight." I answered him. There was a shuffling and some murmuring in the background that I didn't pay attention to before hearing Lexie again. "See, was that so hard?" She teased. "I guess not huh?" I joked back. "So you up for some company at your little hideaway or no?" She asked me. I pondered it a moment and then told her she could join me if she wanted. She said she'd be here soon and not to get too bored while waiting for her.
