"can't go back" Recap

Lapis: "Im leaving! You should be use that by now..."

Steven: "You don't have to run Lapis! Just stay with us!"

Lapis: "I don't know what I was thinking I-I'm I'm not like you and your friends Steven! I can't just let go of what happend to me! I can't go throught that again..."

Steven: "WOULD YOU RATHER BE ALONE!!"

Lapis: "I'm sorry..."

Chapter One

*Steven's pov*

Lapises words ecod in my head " I'm sorry" the scene just kept replaying in my head over and over again.

"Steven?"

I looked up to see Peridot
"Hey Peridot." i said slowly and i looked down at my feet once more.

"Steven what's wrong?" Peridot asked.

"I... I found Lapis..." I said slowly closing my eyes.

"W-W-W-WHHAAAAT!!! IS SHE OK, WHERE  IS SHE? WHY ISN'T SHE HERE? STEVEN TELL MEEE!!!"

I looked up slowly and stared right into Peridot's eye's. I felt like crying, I new that what I'm about to tell Peridot is going to crush her. "I... She... I found her in the moon base... she was watching us with Gem technology, she was going to come back but then... I had a dream about the dimonds. I tried to talk her down but... she left again... I'm sooo sorry Peridot." I looked down at my feet feeling my face start to burn as I tried to stop the tears. I felt a hand on my shoulder, i looked up to see a quivering smile and a Peridot Trying to hold back tears.

"At least shes saft..."  Peridot began to say, but then collapsed to the floor and started to cry.

She tried talking " I j-j-just m-miss her so muuuuuch!" She put her hand over her face and curled into a ball. I heard the patter of feet as pumpkin ran in the room, and started licking Peridot trying to make her feel better. After a few minutes Peridot slowly unfolded an got up and looked at me with a small smile,
  "Im going to my tub."  She said and slowly started walking to the bathroom and closed the door. For a few minutes i just sat there in silence, Suddenly the worp pad activated, i looked up at it and Garnet appeared, she looked at me and smiled

"Hello Steven" Garnet greeted me,
I stared at her for a moment and spoke, "hi garnet." I got up and walked over to her, she looked down at me as I slowly hugged her leg. She slowly leaned over and picked me up so she had a better view of me.

"Steven would you like to take Peridot on a mission in a few days?"

I quickly looked up at her dumbfounded. "What?" I asked,

"You should introduce Peridot to lars in a couple day's."

"Ok? But why?"   "Well you did introduce him and the off gems to me, so why not introduce peridot to them as well? Besides I think she could use the distinction."

I suddenly heard peridot's sad music playing faintly from the bathroom.

Hello its me the aouther this is my first story so please do be gentle. I thought this story up well talking about what the crewniverse could do with peridot and lapis in future episodes but instead of waiting for it to possibly never happen i decided to write my own virson of what id like to see happen!
