Beginning of combat practice

I smiled and was about to say something before I fell over and felt something wet glide across my face. I laid there stunned as something kept getting my face wet, making me close my eyes from getting poked. I started giggling as the unknown source started tickling me with its rough tongue.

Kiba: AKAMARU

I heard a bark and I opened my eyes to see a little white and grey dog wagging its tail while looking at me. Anime heart appeared on my eyes as I gave the little puppy a hug and kisses.

Moriah: you are the cutest thing ever. Oh, I so want one

I whined and looked over at Hinata with puppy eyes. She started laughing lightly as a boy with brown shaggy hair, sharp black eyes with vertical slit-like pupils, pronounced canine teeth, and prominent nails. He also has the distinctive red fang markings. His attire consisted of dark grayish pants reaching to his calves and a grey, hooded fur-lined coat, with the hood usually placed on his head with a fishnet undershirt. I then recognized him as Kiba

Moriah: Hey Kiba, is this your dog?

Kiba's cheek turned slight red as he scratched the back of his head.

Kiba: Yea, sorry about Akamaru

Moriah: no sweat. Hey i don't mean to sound random but, what's your last name?

Kiba: that's alright, its Kiba Inuzuka

The last name sparked a memory of the book I read a while back before I came to the leaf village. The Inuzuka clan is given their own canine partner when they reach a certain age. They are inseparable after that and come up with their own cooperation jutsu's. Both human and partner are able to communicate with one another. The Inuzuka's have greatly enhanced senses, especially their sense of smell. By concentrating chakra to their noses, this sense is amplified to an even greater extent allowing the user to be able to detect, track and monitor targets from a fairly long distance away. Their fighting style relies on mostly their speed and strength.

Moriah: who would've thought I'll be meeting another great shinobi from a unique clan

Kiba blushed and cleared his throat while giving me his best smile.

Kiba: ha, thanks

I got up with Akamaru in my arms, feeling him rub his nose into my shirt. I giggled and heard a "hmph" from a distance. We all looked to see Shikamaru, Choji, and Naruto standing a few feet away from us by the door.

Moriah: took you guys long enough

Naruto: moriah, are you ok?

I nodded and placed Akamaru down on the table to show Naruto my arm. It was a little red, but the wound healed up nicely thanks to my Medical nin-jutsu.

Moriah: see, it's all better. No need to worry

I saw Naruto smile just a little and Kiba gave me a confusing look. I dismissed him with a wave of my hand for him to worry about it. That's when Iruka-sensei came in, a tired look on his face.

Iruka-sensei: alright class, today we begin our combat lesson. We will all go outside and be partnered up with someone to practice sparring. Listen carefully to this next part...Naruto

Everyone looked at Naruto who crossed his arms and made a "hmph" while glaring at not particular.

Iruka-sensei: we will only be using tai-jutsu for this lesson, so let's head out

A mix of groans and excitement filled the room as my classmates started filling out of the room.

Kiba: you can hold Akamaru if you want Moriah. He seems to really like you

I chuckled and looked down at the cute puppy who was licking my hand and making me pet him. But once Kiba said those words, Akamaru leaped onto my head and got comfortable up there. I was overload with cuteness and squealed in excitement from Akamaru.

Moriah: thanks, kiba

Kiba: anything for a pretty girl

He winked at me and I rolled my eyes playfully while. Shimamur sighed in annoyance and grabbed my arm, towing me to the battling grounds.

Moriah: you didn't have to be rude, Shika

Shikamaru: you were being a drag

I rolled my eyes once more and lined up with Shikamaru and Choji, facing Iruka-sensei.

Choji: do I really have to fight someone, Shikamaru?

Shikamaru: yea, I guess so buddy. Maybe if we're lucky, we'll be partnered. If not, it's going to be ok. Just give it all you got

I frowned as I looked at shikamaru from the corner of my eye. I knew very well that Shikamru and Choji were best buds, but I never seen Shika show consideration toward a person's feelings before. It made me realize that Shikamaru had a kind heart...somewhere.

Iruka-sensei: alright, we are going to do this tournament style. So, listen carefully for your name.

I blurred out Sensei as I tried to figure out a plan of fighting today. We would have to use tai-jutsu of course but with the training I had, I might actually hurt someone.

Iruka-sensei: and Moriah

Moriah: uh?

I looked up and looked around, waiting for my partner to walk with me. But there was no one there.

M: uh...shikamaru...where am I supposed to go?

Shika: what a drag? Can't you pay attention at all?!

I puffed my face and crossed my arms over my chest while looking away.

M: maybe you don't have a heart after all

I mumbled under my breath

Shika: what?

M: can you just tell me please?

Shikamaru sighed and pointed to our right. My eyes went a little wide to see the boy that was picking on Naruto earlier. I groaned as I dragged my feet toward the kid with the cocky smirk.

Naruto: Beat his butt Moriah

Naruto said while I passed him. I smiled slightly and now I had a little hop to my step. Once I reached the battle field, I was now filled with determination and... revenge.

Boy: This is going to be fun

He said and cracked his knuckles.
