Chapter 17

Jillian's POV

I got out of the shower and started to pick out my outfit. I chose this white dress with a daisy cut out. I curled my hair and did simple makeup. I chose to wear my braided sandals.

I got downstairs to see Cameron with a dozen of red roses and him in a button on with khakis.

"You look gorgeous babe." Cam says while looking me up and down.

"Aw babe thanks. You are looking great too." I say while grabbing the roses and putting them in water.

"Are you ready my lady?" He asks while kissing my cheek.

"Yes I am my knight and shining armor." I tell him.

Just then he picks me up bridal style.

"Babe!" I say laughing.

He was still holding me and we made it to his pickup truck. He let me down and he open the door for me. He got in and started the car.

"So where are we going?" I ask curious

"Somewhere you like to go a lot." He says with a smirk

"Oh my. I'm nervous" I say laughing.

While we were on the way, Stay With Me was playing.

"Jillian Darlene Halvorson stay with me?" Cameron asks me.

"Aww Cameron yes I will stay with you." I say while reaching over to give him a kiss on the cheek

We finally reach where we were going and it was the Santa Monica Pier.

"Babe I love this place!" I say excitedly

"Hahaha I know that's why I brought you." He says laughing

We got out and we just started to walk around. I were playing in the water when I saw a little girl crying and walking up and down the beach.

I jog over to her and so did Cameron.

"Hey sweetie. What's wrong?" I ask

"I can't find my mommy and daddy." She says through tears.

"We'll find them don't worry. What's your name?" Cam says while picking her up.

"What do your mommy and daddy look like?" I ask in a soothing voice.

"My name is Gail. Mommy has brown hair and daddy has blond hair. I really miss them." She says crying.

"Hey it's okay. We will find your mommy and daddy. Don't cry please for me?" Cam says in a soothing voice.

Then Gail just stops crying.

We were looking for her parents. Finally we saw her parents.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Gail screams

"Oh baby! I'm so sorry that we lost you!" They both tell her.

Cam and I were just standing there smiling.

"Thank you so much for taking care of our little girl." The mom says

"You are welcome. She is a really sweet girl." I say

"Here some money for finding her." She says handing us $100 dollars.

"No you keep it. Just give a lollipop from us." Cam and I say

"Are you sure?" She asks

"Yes we are. We are just happy to see Gail to have her parents back." I say

"You know you guys will be some really good parents someday." She says smiling

"Thank you" Cameron says

"Okay I let you guys go and enjoy your night. Once again thank you very much." The moms says again.

"Bye Gail!" We both say.

Gail runs towards us and gives us hugs.

"I like you guys. Thank you for helping me find my mommy and daddy." Gail says

"You are welcome sweetie." We both say and walk away.

"That was crazy." I say to Cameron while holding hands.

"Yeah it was. At least we found her parents." Cam says

"Yeah. So now where?" I ask

"To dinner." Cam says

"Alrighty then." I say
