he closed the door behind him.

i can hear him sniffle and sob and it was heartbreaking.

"why didn't you tell me?" he faced me.

"i was scared."

"why, why, why, why, why." he panted as he got closer.

"why! why! why!" he cried out loud. adding more tears in his face as he hold the rail in my bed.

"don't cry hinata. i was out yesterday because it was my last day to go out to the outside world, and you know what? i could've not asked for more because i met you and you know what i realized yesterday?"

"w-what i-i-is i-i-it?" he stuttered as he wiped his overflowing tears in his face.

"i love you."

the silence.

yet it was a peaceful one.

he looked into my eyes and cried again. he hold my hand where was my dextrose is. he tightened it like we were going to jump off a cliff.

"i love you too, tobio."

little did i know, tears was already streaming down my face.
