Rayen's P.O.V.

I wake up in a sweat, my head's pounding and I have the urge to throw up. My shoulder hurts like heck and is so stiff I can barely move it. What's happening to me? Am I dying? My stomach burns and rolls like something's trying to get out. I undo my kimono and look at my stomach...

Black lines are woven in a complicated pattern across my stomach and ten signs encircle it. What the hell? This has never showed up before. Then again, I've never been in so much pain before either. Not even the time I'd fallen off a roof, while fixing it and broken my arm in two places have I been in this much pain. I covered the weird black thing up with my kimono, roll onto my stomach and throw up.

I need to look at my shoulder! The thought races through my mind, but it's so painful to turn my head. I have to though. I turn my head to examine the wound and find that it's purpley-green in color. Poison! A poison tipped sword. Oh, no, Halia!

I belly-crawl over to my sister and lay my head on her chest. "thump...thump...thump..." yes, she's still alive! I have to find a doctor! Oh, where should I go.

The village hidden in the leaves! That's where I'll go. I gently pick up my sister and hold her with my left arm and hip as my right arm hangs limply at my side. I have the directions to the leaf village imprinted in my mind, having gone there many times with my father since I was young. I look up at the sun to find that it's around midday, the poisons been spreading for awhile, I'll need to hurry!

Half-hour later...

I come to a stop at the gates of the leaf village, panting up a storm. My neck is starting to lose feeling and I can feel the poison spreading through my body. The gates are larger than I remembered and suddenly I'm afraid.
I can feel my neck stiffen even more and I forget about my fear and walk through the gates.

Now where's the hospital? I've never been there before and now is not the time to stop and look around. Well stupid, you could ask someone! I say to myself. But then again, that's probably not a good idea.

I could feel people's stares burning into my back and I start to wonder why. I soon figured it out when I walked by a vanity store with mirrors. I looked into one and saw a unrecognizable person in front of me. Her dark hair was matted and snarled, she wore a ripped and tattered kimono. Her face and hands were soaked in blood and her shoulder had a long slice across it that was oozing purple-green liquid. I look like a monster!

Someone clamps a hand on my shoulder, I jump and turn around ready to run if needed.

"Whoa! I'm not going to harm you," a kind looking man says, "but you and your sister don't look so good."

I stare at him long and hard deciding if I can trust him or not, before speaking. "I would like to know where the hospital is," I say sternly.

"Okay, follow me," the man says cheerily.

I warily followed the man as he leads me down different roads, until we come to a stop in front of a large white building.

"Here we are!"

"Thank you," I reply trying to bow as best I can.

"My pleasure," the man answers whistling as he walks away.

That man is way to cheery...I sweat drop. Halia starts groaning and I snap back to the matter at hand.

"Onee-chan, I can't feel my legs!" Halia whispers.

"It'll be okay Halia, just hold on a little longer,"

I walk into the hospital and am immediately rushed into a room. They take Halia from me and tell me that they are going to bring her to the critically injured center immediately. I try to follow her but they hold me back, which annoys the heck out of me. They bring me into a white room and tell me to remove my kimono, so they can see the injury better. I start to undo my kimono when a searing pain goes through my stomach and I double over in pain.

"Miss, are you okay?" A nurse asks.

The sign must not have gone away! I don't know what's up with it, but I sure as hell am not about to let the nurses find out about it.

"I'm fine, but can I please keep my clothes on? It hurts to much to take it off," I lie.

"I suppose," says the nurse. She comes over to me with a syringe filled with green liquid. She asks for my arm and I let her inject me with the liquid and suddenly I become very sleepy. The room turns in circles and I feel a little dizzy, something's not right. The nurse looks at me with an evil grin. No! Halia! I fight to stay awake but I can feel my eyelids drooping and starting to close. "Goodnight," the nurse whispers as I slip into darkness.
