Matt..

It all started one night when Gabby got home later than she thought, Matt started worrying about Gabby but was he starting to become abit over protective?

M: Gabby, baby. where have you been i've been trying to call you?

G: Matt, i was still at work restocking the ambo. i'm fine, you need to stop worrying about me so much.

M: I know i just don't like seeing you home so late when i'm not near you and then i don't know where you're.

G: Babe, i'm here. Ask serveride. he was with me the whole time, we were just talking about life.

Little did matt know that gabby was talking to serveride about something that she could never say to matt because she knows he would worry to much. Severide doesn't like keeping secrets from his best friend but he's doing this for gabby, gabby is like a little sister to him and he'd do anything to help her and support her when she needs it.

early that evening
G: Kelly, i feel like matt is being a little to over protective on me. yes i love that he worries about me but if i'm like 10 mins late home he panics and thinks something has happened, i just don't know what to do.

S: Gabs, he loves you that's why. i get that he is a little over protective but he worries about you everyday, when the bells go off for ambo i always see his face turn into a panicked look. gabby he cares about you.

G: I love him too! I better go, he'll be panicking why i'm late home. See you tomorrow!

Gabby walks to her car and travels down the calm traffic to go to hers and matts apartment.

The next morning
it's now 4am, Gabby wakes up earlier than usual. She sees that matt is still sleeping and decides to get up, she grabs her a suitcase and starts to pack up her stuff.
Matt hears a russiling sound and feels around on gabbys side and realises she's not there so he sits up and realised that gabby was on the floor with a suitcase packing
M: Babe, have you realised what the time is?
Gabby nods as she was about to say something but matt cut her off
M: Why have you got your suitcase out?
G: Matt. I'm Sorry. she says as her eyes start to fill up with tears
M: Gabby what's going on?
G: Casey. I have to go, i'm sorry.
M: Gabby what's going on? you only call me casey if i've done something. he says starting to worry.
G: I think we need some time apart.
M: Baby, you y-
he says before getting cut off by a phone call from severide.
M: Hey severide. can this wait beca-
S: Casey, you're late! Chief wants you here.
M: Can you tell chief i'm sorry. somethings come up, i'll be there asap!

G: I'm sorry. she said sadly as she walked out the door with her suitcase
Matt then turns on the lamp and goes to punch a wall to turn back to a photo of Gabby & him.

2 hours later.
Gabby decides to go back to her old apartment and places her suitcase upstairs and starts to get ready for work.

As Gabby walks out of her apartment she sees a text from Matt.
'Gabby, i'm sorry for everything recently. I mean for being over protective, i just didn't want to see anything happen to you because i would blame myself as i wouldn't of been there like i said i would of been! I still love you'

Gabby reads the text with tears in her eyes, as she wipes the tears from under her eyes she starts to walk across the road to go to her car when there was a loud bang and all she felt was pain.

Boom! The text was the last thing she saw until everything was complete darkness.
Gabbys eyes started fluttering realising what had just happened, she hears someone telling to stay awake, but she couldn't with all the pain as her eyes start to shut.

Boden walks up to the ambo where sylvie was restocking the ambo
B: Brett, is dawson here yet?
SB: No. I think she's still at home... Why?
B: She's late to shift, this is not like her to be late to shift.
As Sylvie looks on the apparatus floor she sees casey but no dawson.
SB: Casey. Where's Gabby?
M: I don't know. he said weakly
B: What do you mean you don't know? he says seeming suspicious
M: She walked out on me this morning. we've had some issues Chief. He says whilst looking at his fist seeing it's all bruised up.
SB: Well, just to let you know she's late to shift. This is not like her to be late to shift.
B: Casey! Where is she?
M: Chief i don't know! She said she's going to her apartment and that's where she's staying after our split.

B: I'll be back. I will find her.
M: Chief let me come with you!
B: No matt, it's best for you to stay here.
M: She's my fiancé. if something had happened to her it will be my fault.
B: No. I know you love her and you're both going through a rough patch at the moment but it's best for you to stay here just in case somethings happened.
M: But chief.
B: No. Tell severide i've popped out.

This is my first time writing and i've never done it before so i'm sorry if not much makes much sense.
