"GET UP CECILINE YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR YOUR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!" those words echoed through the house, also the loud crashing of a body falling on the floor. Face planting in the process.

"AGHHHHHH!" a girl yelled, scrambling around the upstairs room right next to the staircase. She went in the shower for about 5 minutes before rushing out, grabbing a random pair of clothes and putting them on. She grabbed her backpack and books, stuffing them in while running down the stairs, two steps at a time. She rushed past her mother who stood at the end of the stairs.

"I already made you a Nutella sandwich! Just take it!" her mother yelled at her daughter, walking into the living room, acting like all of this was normal. "THANKS, MOM!" she called out, her hand moving at lightning speed as she grabbed her breakfast and rushed out the door. "WAIT! I ALMOST FORGOT!" she exclaimed, running back in and kissed her mother on the cheek, screaming out an "I love you" to her mother. She saw her dad in her front yard and also kissed his cheek and hollered out "I LOVE YOU GUYS! SEE YOU LATER!", ignoring the strange looks she was getting from her neighbors.

She checked her watched her friend had given her when she left her home country, Australia. The second she stepped off the plane, she felt the wave of sadness as she already missed her friends in Australia. Her best friend gave her the watch as a goodbye present. It was a simple watch,

8:45 am.

"AGHHHHH! THE BUS LEAVES IN 5 MINUTES!" she yelled out, running at top speed for the bus stop that her school's bus stops at to pick up students in the neighborhood. She could feel the rush of the wind in her hair as she ran corner to corner, the thundering sounds of her footsteps.

There across the road was the school bus, and she could see that there was already the bus there, students piling in. She ran across the street, feeling the rush of adrenaline through her veins. She skidded to a stop behind the students and got in. She found herself a seat, next to the window and exhaled a breath she hadn't realized she had held in. She looked back at her watch which read 8:50.

Just in time Ceci. Just in time.

Ceciline fell against the seat, putting her hand on her chest, where her pounding heart was beating against it. It was so strong and fast, Ceci was surprised no one heard it. She was catching her breath, panting almost when she had noticed they had come close to the school.
