After being at the release party for their newest album for hours, Patrick was starting to feel the buzz of the alcohol he had been drinking all night. He stumbled back to his boyfriend, Pete, who happened to be at the bar to get full his glass when it was empty. His words had started slurring at some point, probably hours ago, but Patrick was as happy as could be, nothing could ruin his mood. Normally he was quiet, reserved, sometimes even a little shy but drunk Patrick was bubbly, cheery, and outgoing. It was like he was in love with the world. Chatting excitedly with anyone who would listen to him obsess over music, even if they could only stand to hear him go on and on about it for a minute before they would walk away from him.

Pete's brown eyes are trained on Patrick's buzzing form, looking for guests to talk to, watching him get drunk off both the alcoholic beverages Pete has been giving him and the party mood. His boyfriend would turn to look at him every so often, smiling shyly at him, waving and then giggling when Pete waved back to him from across the room. Patrick was like a child, checking every five minutes to make sure his parent was still there. Pete turns back to the drink that was in front of him, pulling the tumbler to his lips and gulping down the beverage. The liquid burns as it slides down his throat and slowly his brain starts to feel cloudy.

Once the drink in his hand is finished a pale hand taps his shoulder, he swivels around on his barstool to see Patrick swaying slightly, grinning dopely at him before almost pulling Pete of the stool and into a tight embrace. "Hey baby, you seem a little out of it." Pete states as Patrick nuzzles into his neck, Pete threads the fingers of one of his hands through the blond's hair, cupping the back of his head. Holding Patrick close, watching him relax in Pete's arms and pressing a kiss to the top of his head, soft blond hair brushing his lips.

Being cuddled by Patrick is nice, even in the awkward position they are in. That is until Patrick starts trying to climb into Pete's lap, in an attempt to get closer but only succeeding in sending the both of them (and the barstool) tumbling to the floor. Pete's back hits the hardwood and he grunts in pain, feeling parts of his back bruise, bones aching. Then he feels his boyfriend's body landing onto his chest with a thud a split second later. Pete is worried about one of them being seriously injured and is about to ask Patrick if he's okay, when Patrick starts laughing. Pete sighs in relief, knowing now that his boyfriend is fine.

Patrick slowly picks himself up, as if waiting for a spike of pain to hit him. Patrick rights himself and their eyes focus on each other. Bright blue meeting dark brown, and god how Pete loves Patrick's eyes; how he wants to spend eternity looking at those gleaming pools of bright blue enchantment. Patrick's eyes hold love and adoration as they stare into Pete's own, the same love and adoration that Pete knows is mirrored in his own eyes. They watch each other, chests heaving, only a few inches apart from touching and Pete forgets everything that isn't Patrick, loses sight of the world around them, focusing on the man above him, that he loves.

Patrick ruins the beautiful moment they were in by making a joke about the situation.

"Petey! We took a mighty fall." Pete rolls his eyes at the reference to one of their songs, mentally cringing at how terrible it is. Patrick kisses his nose, giggling at the face Pete pulls before booping the spot that he had just kissed. "Boop!" Patrick exclaimed. "I just booped your nose, Petey" Patrick giggles happily again, Pete adores his giggle and wishes that Patrick would make that sound more often, not just when he's wasted on alcohol. Pete smirks down at him, knowing that Patrick should probably be at home watching tv, preparing for the terrible hangover that will surely come in the morning.

"I think it's time that I take you home Pattycakes, you're gonna have the worst hangover in the morning." Pete begins to explain, Patrick starts shaking his head at the idea of leaving the party, Patrick never wants to leave parties when he is in his giggly, easy to entertain mood . "Come on Pa-" Pete starts but cuts himself off when Patrick completely lifts off of him, moving away from Pete's body and sitting up on the floor beside Pete's form before Patrick stands up. Grinning evilly down at Pete, well as evil as a cute teddy bear can look.

All of a sudden, Patrick starts sprinting towards the nearest staircase, "You'll have to catch me first!" Patrick yells over his shoulder. Pete groans, knowing he has to chase Patrick down to be able to take him home. He starts to pick up the dead weight of his own body from the ground, every muscle in his body protesting at his movements, then he's standing and has to steady himself before giving chase. He forces himself to follow Patrick, up the stairs, staggering, feeling as though he could trip, fall down the stairs at any moment but pushing through the feeling and making it to the top of the set of stairs.

Pete watches as Patrick races down the corridor before veering left for an open door at the end, he watches the door shut, hearing the loud bang of it being slammed shut.

"Trick, come on, that's not fair! We should be getting you home." Pete complains while sneaking to the room he saw Patrick enter. "Come out, come out wherever you are Patrick." He hears his boyfriend snickering behind the firmly closed door when he reaches it. "I guess I can't find him... I'll just go home and watch Ghostbusters all alone." Pete tries to make his voice sound sad and mentally congratulates himself when he succeeds in doing so.

Pete turns and starts heading towards the direction he had just came from, as he scuffs his boots along along the carpet that covers the floor, he hears a door opening and some quick shuffling, he smirks before being tackled from behind.

"I WANT TO WATCH GHOSTBUSTERS!" Patrick wails into Pete's ear. "Don't leave me here Pete! Please!" Pete pries Patrick off of his back, laughing at his neediness, turning Patrick and himself around so that they are facing. "Don't laugh at me!" Patrick looks as though he's about to cry that is until Pete starts to tickle his ribs.

Patrick howls with laughter, giggles and shrieks, as Pete attacks his sides with his fingers, Pete knows how much Patrick hates being tickled but he loves to hear the loud laughs that Patrick lets come out of his mouth. "Peteeeeeee, stop tickling me!" Patrick starts slapping the hands gripping his sides until Pete obeys and stops, Pete grins at him. "I absolutely hate when you do that, Peter." Patrick tries to sound angry, crossing his arms and pouting, but fails when he starts to laugh again.

Pete reaches his hand out to grab one of Patrick's, bringing it away from Patrick's chest, lacing their fingers together, pale contrasting against Pete's darker skin. Pete admires this before he pulls Patrick along.

"I love you, Trickster." Pete pauses before continuing "No matter how much you drive me up the wall sometimes." Patrick gasps like he's surprised at the comment as though Pete has never said the l-word to him before removing his hand from Pete's loosening grip. "What are you doing?" Pete questions, confused when Patrick takes a half-step back before dropping to his knee.

"Je t'aime, Pete." Patrick breaths in, preparing himself as he does when he's normally about to sing to a crowd of people. "Veux-tu m'épouser?" Patrick finishes, smiling hopefully up at Pete, waiting for Pete to say something. Pete despite being the less drunk of the two is completely confused, thinking what is coming out of Patrick's mouth is complete gibberish. He pulls Patrick to his feet and into a tight hug. His boyfriend looks overjoyed, looks like he is receiving the best news in the world, despite Pete not answering whatever had just come out of Patrick's mouth.

Patrick turns his head to give Pete a quick but heated kiss, which Pete happily accepts. When Patrick tears himself away from Pete, he is smiling brightly at Pete, still over the moon with joy.

"HE SAID YES!" Patrick bellows, running the rest of the way to the stairs, repeating the same line again and again, almost jumping with his excitement. Pete dazed and confused, follows his boyfriend down the empty corridor, wondering what in the hell Patrick thinks he has agreed to.
