Chapter 1: First day of Sophmore year

Jacob's POV:

As I hear my alarm go off I contemplate to get ready for school, like everyone does, I start fixing my hair and getting dressed, "Not only is it my first day of Sophomore year but also starting at a new school, so hopefully today goes well." I say to myself in the mirror, Central High school is where I'm starting at because I know a lot of people there from middle school so I already have friends there , I then arrive at school, and I start looking for my old friends, I see a group of my old friends and I go up to them , "Hi guys I'm here at Central now !" "Um , we aren't your friends anymore because of who you are , and who you have become" one of them says to me , they all start laughing and I start to walk away from them and sit down at a bench outside ( Central High School is an out door campus school ), I sit there and wait for the bell to ring ... alone, *Bell rings* " Well I must get to class". I then get to lunch and sit at the bench I was at earlier in the morning , then comes a girl that I knew from middle school ( Ana, she is a Junior ) " Hi Jacob! Long time no see friend." She said in the most happily voice. " Hi Ana , it's been a while since we have seen each other ." I said feeling better . " You should come join me with my Color Guard girls ". I think to myself, what is Color Guard ? "Sure why not." I say back to her. She takes me to the Music Building and we sit outside and I see her Friends. "Hey Girls , this is my Friend Jacob, he is new here to Central and he's a Sophomore" she says to them . "Hi". I say in a shy voice. "I'm Kayla" says one of them. "I'm Destiny, and we are both Freshman " says the other . "Looks like we have something in common, being new to this school". Says Kayla. "Hehe, yea". I say back quietly and shyly. "So Jacob do you know what Color Guard is , would you be interested in this ?" Says Ana " I honestly have no idea on what Color Guard is". I say confused. "It's okay everyone says that , It's the Flag people in the Marching Band". Before I said anything, that has been my dream to do that since I was a kid, I would go to the football games just to go and see the Marching Band, especially the Flags ( AKA Color Guard ). "I thought only girls did Color Guard?" I said. "Here at Central guys are allowed to do Color Guard." Ana said. I was so exited to hear that. " I am interested in doing it but it's a little to late to change my schedule right?" I said. "It's okay you can learn how to do Guard this season and do Winter Guard in November." Ana said. Ana is one of the Captains of Guard. "What is Winter Guard?" I said confused again. "Winter Guard is without Band, it's just Guard but it's all inside instead of outside." She said explaining to me. I start to laugh a little because I thought to myself that they call it Winter Guard because it's in the Winter probably. "Yes I would be interested in Winter Guard, when do I start learning?" I said. "Next Monday because this week we have a Football Game and we have so many practices." She said. "I can't wait to learn Guard". I said excited.
