"Sherlock Holmes."
"Sebastian." They both shook hands before the banker looked at me and John. I looked at him with a frown before looking back to John.
"This better be good. Or else I am going back home and leaving you two here to do your thing." I said as I looked back to Sherlock.
"These are my friends, (Y/n) and John."
"Friends?" Sebastian asked as he eyed the two of us. I just gave a short smile. He seemed like the type of person I would kill for fun. Or because they thought lowly of any who don't have the same amount of money as them.
"Colleagues." John and I said at the same time. We looked at each other before looking back to Sebastian. Sebastian gave Sherlock a surprised look before asking us if we wanted any drinks. Once we all said no his secretary left us alone and the banker sat down.
"So, you're doing well. You've been aboard a lot." Sherlock said as he looked around the room.
"Well, some." Sebastian said in reply.
"Fly all the way around the world twice in a month?" I looked between the two. I couldn't pick up much anything that said anything he had been anywhere. Well asides from a slight tan line. But that was it. Sebastian laughed and pointed at Sherlock as John looked overly confused.
"Right, You're still doing that thing." He said as he looked at all of us. "We went to uni together. This guy here had a trick he used to do." I scowled and cut into the conversation.
"It's not a trick." I stated at the same time as Sherlock. I looked at him and smiled slightly. Then I allowed my eyes to move back to Sebastian. He seemed annoyed by this but pushed it away.
"He could look at you and tell you your whole life story." I scoffed and looked at Sebastian as he spoke to John. I then looked at Sherlock.
"I don't like Sebastian. Something is off about him. Plus he is annoying." I said and looked at Sebastian who appeared to be annoyed at this. "What? I associate with intelligent people. Not people who gossip about others who stand right there. And so I talk to Sherlock. And John." I said before I crossed my arms.
"Go on, enlighten me. Two trips in one month, flying all the way around the world- you're quite right. How could you tell?" Just as Sherlock was about to speak Sebastian kept talking. " You're gonna tell me there was, um, a stain on my tie from some special kind of ketchup you can only buy in Manhattan" John smiled.
"No, I..." Sherlock was once again cut off and I started to get more annoyed.
"Maybe it was the mud on my shoes!" I was about to go over to him and slap him before Sherlock finally spoke.
"I was just chatting with your secretary outside. She told me." I looked back to Sebastian with a smirk. Sebastian laughed with no humour to be found. Sherlock smiled without any humour as well. John looked confused for such an ordinary answer.
"I'm glad you could make it over. We've had a break-in." I smiled finally getting something to do. I looked over to Sherlock before back to the banker i had grown to hate in a matter of minutes. He led us over to a door and we followed. "Sir William's office – the bank's former Chairman. The room's been left here like a sort of memorial. Someone broke in late last night." I scoffed and looked around. It was just a break in. What was the big deal?
"What did they steal?" John asked.
"Nothing. Just left a little message." Sebastian replied as I looked at his with a questioning look. This was when we went into the room. A portrait hung on the wall behind the desk. And beside the portrait was a graffiti tag. In yellow spray paint. I looked like the number eight. But the top was open and a horizontal line.
