I sat under the willow trees feeling lost from the world. I looked across the water and sighed.
You may be wondering who are you? Why are you so sad? What happened? Well I'll tell you it all started in the summer three years ago.
I was a young girl and I was wondering through the woods. The trees were tall and the shadows dark. The creaking of the wood in the slight wind only added to the ominous feeling. The air smelt of sap and the leaves and under growth crunches under my feet.
Suddenly I heated a sound, a sound so spooky that I almost jumped right out of my skin. I turned around slowly and looked behind me. It was only a boy.
As he slowly came towards me I started to see him properly he was probably 13 or so, only a year older than me. His eyes were a deep blue color and his hair was a deep chocolate brown. He wore a deep blue shirt with a pair of worn jeans, his feet were bare. He told me his name was Tom and that he lived a little to the south of where we were in the woods, that was near my house. I told him my name was Alia and that I lived around there to. He looked at me with his deep blue eyes and one thing was clear: he was a good soul. Just by looking at him I could tell that he had done almost no wrongs in his life but he lived on the edge. He had scared hands and his nail were short.
We walk through the woods towards our town and he took me to the sweet shop where he took out 3 knots and asked me what I wanted. I looked at him like he was mad I had only just met him and that was a lot of money but I couldn't decline. He was looking so hopefully at me I pointed at the chocolate bars and asked I I could have one. The shop keeper had bright red curly hair and green eyes that looked huge through her glasses. She had a lot of freckles and she wore a green apron. She took out the chocolate bar and put in in a small brown paper bag and tied it with a string. Tom paid. He also got some gummy worms and put the change in his pocket. We walked out the sweet smelling store out into the warm summer air. The pine trees that lined the road were in full bloom. The pavement was old but not ancient and there were benches that had newly been painted to hide the crumbling wood. We sat down on one of those benches to eat our treats.
Over a few days short days we got to know each other Tom was smart and enjoyed sports. He liked to explore the woods and other outdoor areas.
One day we went on a hike. We reached a stream that flowed for miles. It it was only knee deep. It was such a hot day that we jumped in. We splashed in the water for what felt like hours but soon a cold breeze picked up. We got out but I was freezing and he gave me his hoodie. We sat on a cliff and watched the sun set. Eventually we decided we should head home. We walked down the mountain and through the trees to the start of the trail. I thought I saw something but tom said it was probably nothing so we kept walking he. Dropped me off at my house and kissed me goodnight. At that moment I felt safe and I knew that I loved him. He was my everything.
We went to the waterfall next week and he taught me how to use a bow and arrow. I felt powerful and for once in my life I put all my trust in him. I knew I was safe with him.
