All that is running through my mind is that Lovell Moreno is the most intimidating person I have ever met. He isn't beefy or particularly muscular but he has the most intruding eyes. They are raven black, you can't see one speck of colour in them, you can't determine where his pupils are. All you can see was a beautiful, black pearl swimming in an ocean of perfect milky white.

"I'm sorry... I shouldn't be here." I whisper, wanting to get away from the tough scrutiny of his orbs. I turn and start to trudge away,

"Wait." He calls after me, "Hold on, Demnity."

I turn around and find that he has ended up right behind me. I gasp and jump back,

"Jesus Christ, man." I yelp, giving him a questioning glance, "Do you know what personal space is?"

He just laughs and closes the distance again, "Yes, I do."

I take a step back, "Then I would like you to honour the concept right now." I whisper.

"Why? You followed me when I wanted to get away from everyone," he smiles, "Technically, you violated the concept first." He takes a step forward and I take another back. I quickly lose my footing and proceed to fall onto my back.

The coldness of the undergrowth never reaches me. I open my eyes to find Lovell's face right before mine. I open my mouth to speak but no words come out. I quickly shut it and clear my throat,

"Um, can you please let me up?" I ask, already trying to push myself away. He obliges and lifts me to my feet but his arms stay around my waist. I look down at his forearms and quietly sigh, I lift my head to speak and his lips come down on mine.

I make a small sound of surprise but then lean into him. His lips are soft and warm and I find myself winding my arms around his neck. His tongue trails along my bottom lip, asking for entrance and I concede, wanting to know what he tastes like. His mouth tastes like beer and apricots. A rather queer combination but heavenly all in its own right. But then, almost as if someone had knocked me to the ground, all the air leaves my body and a heart stopping chill runs down my spine.

Adam.

I pull away as fast as I can and wipe my lips.

"Shit." is all I can muster at this moment.

"Oh..." is all he can say.

"I-I have a..." I say shamefully. I don't even have enough dignity to finish off my sentence.

"Demnity... That was..." He begins, looking into my eyes

"Stupid?" I offer "Unfaithful? Absolutely and Utterly, 100% wrong?" I continue

"No. I was going to say... Perfect." He admits, looking at me intensely.

"Perfect? PERFECT?! Did you not hear what I said? I have a boyfriend. This was not perfect! This was a mistake." I yell at him "Oh, hell... What am I going to say to him? What am I going to do?" I start blurting, looking at my feet.

"Demnity, calm down. Your boyfriend doesn't have to find out, alright?" he says, reaching over and stroking my shoulders. I flinch away,

"Don't touch me." I sternly say, walking away. He picks up his foot to follow me, "Don't follow me, either." I add, and begin to run.

I run all the way back to the gate and when I reach it, I look back to see if he has followed me. And I see him, at the edge of the tree line, looking at me with a sense of confusion and mystery. He gives me a small nod of his head and then retreats back into the trees. I let out a breath that I have been holding and open the gate.
