Foolish Petal

Why does the petal shiver,

Didnt it always know about the storm?

Why did it have the audacity,

To think it would survive and move on?

Maybe just for some time,

the sky got clear of that voilent cloud.

But was the petal not aware,

that way of world is cruel, lifes no rhyme.

How could it be taken aback?

when assassin's disguised as droplets,

made their way to slice it down.

how was it shocked when was smashed?

Decieving the sky was for awhile,

but didnt it always know how it was destined?

when the cloud was showing mercy,

didnt it had the clue that intentions were hostile?

Now it lays on the ground as it bleeds,

Injured is the soul that once swayed with wind,

torn and broken is that fraigile heart,

which did the sin of knowing yet dared to breathe.
