CHAPTER 1

Nagising ako sa tunong na alarm clock ko. Ugh. Monday nanaman pala. Pinilit kong imulat ang aking isang mata at sinilip ang orasan. Napaupo ako kaagad ng malaman kong 6:45 na pala ng umaga! Sh*t! May pasok pa ako ng 7:30am! Dali dali akong dumiretso sa banyo upang maligo, mag-tooth brush at kung ano ano pa. Pagkatapos ko ay naghanda na ako para magbihis. Di nagtagal ay natapos na rin ako at tumakbo pababa para humalik sa parents ko at magpahatid na sa driver namin sa school.

"Audie, di ka ba magbbreakfast?" Tanong ng mama ko sakin pagkatapos kong magpaalam na aalis na ako para tumungo sa school.

"Di na, Mom. I'll just eat sa cafeteria." Sagot ko.

"Get something along the way if you can. But if you're really already running late, ingat ka nalang okay? Love you!" Sabi naman ni dad.

"Yes dad! I'll try. And I love you too, dad! Love you, Mom! Ingat rin po kayo, okay?" I replied then kissed them both sa cheeks and kumaripas na ako ng takbo papunta sa front door and hinanap ko na si Manong Cesar para magpahatid sa school.

"Good morning, manong Cesar! Tara na po?"

"Sige po ma'am. Napakabait mong bata talaga." Sagot niya.

I just smiled at him. Why would I treat him differently when I grew up with having him as our family driver. Isa pa, we treat our employees with utmost kindness and love as well. We treat them like family. Sabi nga nila, you could never go wrong with being kind.

By the way, if you're wondering, I'm Audrianna Reed. I'm 17 years old and the only daughter of Edward and Raia Reed. The heiress of the Reed Construction Incorporated. But don't get it wrong, I'm not spoiled and most likely I'm not that selfish. Well, I maybe sometimes but it's really seldom.

While we were on the road, I whispered a silent prayer to God that let this day be good and that to keep my family safe.

7:25am na nung makarating ako sa school. Buti nalang walang traffic! Thank God! Kaya tumakbo agad ako papunta ng aming classroom then rushed sa field para pumila kasama ang classmates ko for the Flag Ceremony. Umagang umaga pinagpawisan na ako!

"Audrianna! Kala ko aabsent ka na eh." Sabi ng bestfriend kong si Rea. Then I just winked at her.

After ng pagka haba-habang flag ceremony namin, it's time na for our homeroom subject. We went back to our respective classrooms and then we all settled saaming designated seats and that's when our teacher spoke.

"Class, I know that you're all excited for this event so I'll be announcing it now."

Biglang natahimik yung buong klase namin and then we patiently waited sa news ng teacher namin.

"Your Seniors' Promenade will be held 3 months from now. And as we've discussed sa faculty meeting last week, Winter Solstice ang magiging theme nito."

Nagcheer naman yung klase and murmurs from all directions could be heard, yung iba naman nag-groan nalang kasi hindi siguro yun yung gusto nilang theme. Oh well. Anything would be good as long as he would be there.
