"Good morning Aiden. I made you your favorite breakfast," a voice beamed from the kitchen.

Aiden groaned as he rolled out of bed, his bare feet touching the cold hardwood floor. He sat on the edge of the bed as he stared at his empty white wall. He didn't want to wake up. As a matter of fact, he didn't want to do anything. He just wanted to lay in bed and sleep. He didn't want to see that metal robot. He finally rose from his bed and entered his bathroom. Aiden stepped onto the cold shower tiles as he turned on the faucet to the perfect temperature. Cold. He felt the water trickle down his body. After he finished, he dried himself up. He wrapped the towel around his waist and walked towards his closet. He slowly opened it up to reveal three hundred and sixty-five simple black t-shirts along with a pair of three hundred and sixty-five black jeans that were slightly ripped around the knees. Aiden reached for his 30th simple black shirt and 30th pair of black jeans. He put his clothes on and walked towards the mirror. Aiden was tall and broad-shouldered, with a mop of dark hair and heavy, solemn brows that once were offset by a smile. But, now they just supported a blank expression, no smile was seen anymore. A pair of eyes the color of sunlight shining through a bottle of whiskey sat behind square-framed glasses that kept sliding down his long nose. He didn't bother much in brushing his hair nor did he care. In fact, he didn't care about anything at all because all caring ever led to was broken hearts, just like his. Aiden walked out of the bathroom to see Emma sitting on his bed.

"Good morning, Aiden," Emma smiled as she rose from the bed walking towards Aiden.

"Morning," Aiden replied with no emotion as he walked out the door leaving Emma behind.

Emma sat on the bed motionless. She had no idea why he stormed out because usually, he greeted her with just more than a simple 'morning'. She was extremely hurt on the inside. It felt like as if she had just gone down a roller coaster. If she could cry, you'd see a tear slip down her face. The sound of a plate being forcefully dropped in the kitchen shook Emma out of her thoughts as she hurriedly walked to the kitchen. As if her heart hadn't been already hurt, seeing the breakfast she had specially made for Aiden this morning, splattered across the dark mahogany wood kitchen floor. Just like how her heart had been torn apart, her breakfast was all on the floor. All my time and my hard work, she thought. The heart-shaped pancake, the fruit salad, and Aiden's favorite bacon strips were thrown all on the ground, crushed like her heart had been. Emma bent over to clean up the mess.

"No point in picking it up, Emma," He scoffed as he grabbed an apple from the refrigerator and sat down at the table as he bit into it, the juice immediately filling up Aiden's mouth.

"Why are you like this today, Aiden?" She questioned as she furrowed her brows while she glanced at Aiden. Aiden sat on the chair, biting into his apple as if Emma didn't even exist.

"Aiden, I asked you a question," She repeated as she carefully watched Aiden's face.

Aiden just continued to eat his apple as if Emma still didn't exist. Aiden knew there was no way he could hurt someone so heartless like Emma. She was a robot after all. Just a piece of metal programmed by some nerd to help people out. All her emotions were fake just like Carmen.
