One day in 1978, Samara was singing her song by a well. Anna walks behind her and says "isn't it beautiful here Samara? So peaceful. I know things will get better" she suffocates Samara with a garbage bag and, almost crying, saying "All I ever wanted was you" Then throws her down the well. Samara wakes up and finds Anna closing the well so no one will find her "dead" body. Samara survived for 7 days
