Quinn stared out of the window, before letting out a sigh.

Her swan kwami, Mimi, flew up next to her and tilted her head. "What's wrong? I thought you were happy to finally leave." She had said with her soft spoken ways. Quinn turned to look at her, and forced a smile.

"Well, it won't be that bad here. Just can't believe it's already happening."

She said with another sigh.

Mimi smiled sympathetically, before going to sit on Quinn's shoulder.

"I understand. But it's a good thing you're moving as well then, no?"

"Yes, and no."
Her owner mumbled quietly.

"I have too much doubts in my mind."

"Such as, what if I can't make friends?"

"You can make friends! You make friends so easily!"

Mimi exclaimed, putting a delicate feather on her chest. The girl shushed her.

Mimi sighed, before nuzzling her owner's neck.

"Anyway, if you will excuse me, I need to catch up on my beauty sleep."

The girl gently smiled, puting a strand of auburn brown hair behind her ear. "Sweet dreams, then." She quietly said, before going into her bag and pulling out a mystery novel. It was about a female detective, and just as she was flipping to the page, the intercom came on the airplane. They were saying all the usual things and such, and about 10ish minutes later, they were off.

After about 13 hours and almost half an hour had passed, Quinn Marigold Jackson had finally landed in Paris. She was going to be staying here with her mother, who had left the previous year for reasons still unknown to her. She was staying with her grandparents, until her mother had sent her a plane ticket to Paris, France. It was a one-way trip.

And the only reason Quinn had agreed to this was because of quite a few reasons. 1, she wanted an extended break from not going to competitions every weekends, and just try and be a regular girl for once. 2, drama had struck in the school she previously was at, and so thank god it was the last day of school, or she would've had to suffer. And so here she was, now in Paris, a month away from school starting here, so she could get used to it.

Lovely.

Not to mention all the gum she had for her ears not to pop, and she gave a few to Mimi as well, just in case. Because why not? Anyway, they soon got off the airplane, with Mimi safely in her sleeveless sweater pocket. All she had was her backpack and earphones on her, seeing as all of her suitcases were waiting for her. At least, she hoped they were. She scanned the area with a wary eye to see if she could find her mother.

And it appeared, she had finally found her.

Probably not my best work, but I've finished Chapter One, yay! Or sort of, at least.
