Sleepless

I wake up. It's bright in my room but I guess that's only because the lights were turned on all the time. And I wasn't use to it when I woke up. I sit up and slouch on the wall behind me. I feel the cold wall shock my skin when I'm lean on it. I get up and walk to the door. I look through the crack of the door and saw another door. And a desk also loads of paper work on a table. I hear the keys rustle as someone  unlocks the door. I see Dennis. He's breathing heavy and looks angry. I can't let him get in. I have to block the door.  I grab my bed but it's not enough to hold the door by itself. I can feel Dennis push the door open. I fall back by the force. He walks in with a panting body gesture. And an even more annoyed look. " you shouldn't disbelieve that we can't fight back. ". He says with a sharp, stern look on his face. "I don't understand. Why am I here. Please I'll do anything. " I beg. He starts to get more angry. He collapses on the ground with his head in his hands. Groaning in pain. " we must kill her Dennis. The beast has emerged " i can hear Patrica's voice. It seems to be that two personalities are talking at once. " Patrica let me handle this. " Dennis says in a firm voice.  He stands back up. In a more tense posture. " don't be anymore trouble. Your lucky Iam dealing with you and not Patrica. " he exits the room. I need to find a way out. This man is going to kill me.

Later on. I can here voices outside the room. There speaking in whispers. "Dennis let me finish her of"
" no Patrica the beast is almost here. He sent me to get the girl. "
"Dennis are you listening to yourself. It needs to be quick this girl is going to make a plan , and escape. "
I can here the keys again as the door knob unlocks. Patrica walks in. " how are you feeling. " she says gently.
" please. I beg you. Let me leave. I promise I won't tell anyone. " I plead.
" DONT. Just don't. " she starts to get angry but calms herself. But with a bitter word. " I don't want to hear another word out of you tonight. " she slams the door.

When Patrica leaves , I search the room for an opening. As I am in the bathroom looking for anything to use as a weapon. Or something to at least protect myself. I can't find anything though. As I thought. I turn around and see hedwig sitting on the bed.
" your making mrs Patrica very angry. " he says giggling. " why are you laughing hedwig. Dont you understand I need to leave. And your not helping me. " I see from how I've talked to hedwig I've made him upset. A tear falls on his cheek.  I go and sit next to him. He flinched as if I was going to hurt him. I hold my arm around him. He's sat like he has a big lump in his throat. " Iam sorry hedwig ". He looks at me. But dosent say anything. We wait a couple of moments before he speaks. " Deanna. I hear mrs Patrica and mr Dennis talk about you sometimes. " he whispers in my ear. " what do they say hedwig. "
" Iam not suppose to say". He jumps of the bed. " hedwig. Maybe you could get me a glass of water. " he looks at me with a warm smile. " give me a minute. I have to go change my socks. " he leaves the room. I feel a cold silence in the room as I wait. And wait.

" Deanna. PST Deanna. " I look at hedwig. He's leaning through the crack of the door. " is okay for me to come in. " he asks. I nod. He walks in with a glass of water , a colouring book , and a pencil case. He sits on the bed and hands the glass to me. He opens his colouring book which has loads of animals in it. He's colouring in the tiger. He grabs a black pencil and colours the stripes. " so hedwig. Where are mrs Patrica and Dennis? ". I ask. " oh there asleep for a bit. There a bit tired from the abduction and keeping this place safe. " what does he mean safe? The walls there made of dry wall. I could look for a way out. I can see hedwig is irritated. He swings his leg up on the bed. " Deanna. Could you tie my shoe lace? " he smiles. " sure. " I reply with a smile. " did you know that I can wish myself  in and out of the light at any time. It's a special gift. " I look at him blankly. " see Barry use to choose who could come in the light. But he lost that power because of me. "  I'm trying to understand. Is he saying he can be this personality when he wants. This means. I can ask him to come visit me tomorrow. I can try to get out this isolated room. He looks at me with grin. Waiting for an answer. " so. Hedwig. I really enjoy your company." Loop,swoop and pull. I finish tieing his shoe lace. "Maybe tomorrow you can come visit me?" He looks at me like he wants to meet me but someone's stopping him. " I can't Iam not even suppose to be in here. " he flings of the bed to leave. " wait. It can be our secret. The others don't have to know. " I ask. " okay. But it can't be for long mr Dennis will find out and get angry. " he leaves out the door.

I lay in bed as I wait for tomorrow to come. This might be my chance of escaping.
