Ok lets start this off with a quick A/N, for those of you who have read my stories in the past this one will be entirely different.
All of my other works have been fan fiction, based around other people's stories and characters.

However, I have decided it is time for me to branch out and write my own originals. Therefore, this story is mine as are the characters within it.

This is my first original story so please be gentle with me.  As always feedback is appreciated, it's what keeps me motivated to write. Also if you spot any mistakes in grammar or spelling let me know and I'll correct it. Also any plot holes you find PLEASE point them out, if my track record is anything to go by I'll probably forget what I've already written about in this book....

Anyway! Without further ado, I hope you all enjoy!

"MIA!" A thundering voice growled making the walls of the pack house rattle, Mia looked up a small whimper escaped her lips. She had been cleaning the floor when alpha Fabian's angry voice startled her, she raked her brain trying to think of what she had done to make him so mad. She couldn't think of anything, she had done all of her chores except the floor that she was doing now. Maybe it was because she wasn't doing it quick enough.... She glanced up at the clock on the wall, it read 11:45 which meant she was on schedule. Just like every day she had cleaned the whole pack house, she still had fifteen minutes to go before her time was up. The alpha was interrupting her schedule, if she didn't finish by midday she would be in trouble but if she didn't answer the alpha immediately she would be in even more trouble... She sighed, she was going to be punished either way.

Mia placed her mop against the wall and headed towards the alpha's office, her body began to tremble. Alpha Fabian was the scariest person she had ever and probably would ever meet. She used to think he was an amazing person, he had rescued her from the woods when she was a baby. Her parents were Rogue wolves, they abandoned her when she was born an omega. Being an omega was seen as an embarrassment, even to Rogue wolves. They were the ones that were the least likely to survive past childhood. Alpha Fabian had found her and taken her in, she had always known she was at the bottom of the pack hierarchy but she was alive which is what mattered.

In recent years Alpha Fabian had become extremely hostile towards her, it started when he had lost his mate of an incurable illness. Mia wasn't sure what she had done to earn his scorn, nevertheless, she owed him everything. "Mia" A voice shocked her out of her thoughts and she looked up. A smile immediately came over her face, the alpha's son Jake was standing just outside of his dad's office.

Jake was tall and muscular with tanned skin, his dark hair hung around his shoulders in waves. He had a very handsome face, Mia had had a crush on him for as long as she could remember. He was nineteen, only a year older than herself, he was the only person that treated her like an equal. It wasn't any wonder she had developed feelings for him over the years, not that she could ever tell him that, they weren't mates she knew that. "Hi" She muttered.

"Someone left his window open, blew all his papers everywhere. The old git probably did it himself, he wants someone to blame though" Jake explained, Mia nodded. This often happened, she would get the blame for the alpha's own mistakes. She was an easy target, being an omega she was submissive by nature, this meant that she rarely was able to stand up for herself. She just accepted all of the alpha's anger and criticisms, she owed him that much at least.  "Have you finished your chores?" Jake asked. She shook her head.

"The floor isn't finished" Mia replied, her voice quiet. Cleaning the house and looking after the pack was her job, she couldn't hunt or patrol so she was left with the job's that no one else wanted. It was ok, she liked having a role in the pack's wellbeing, refusing to do her jobs would result in her being exiled and she could never survive on her own.
