Chapter XI (TRIGGER WARNING)

Start from the beginning

"Actually, sir, we're rescuing my older sister, Brielle," Avery answers.

"Ah, I'm sure she'd love that..." Dr. Scientist pauses where he would normally say Avery's name.

"Avery," Avery introduces herself.

"Ah yes, Avery. Beautiful name," Dr. Scientist says, causing Avery to blush in embarrassment. "Now, I've got a little treat for you just in case you ever need to use it. Check the glove compartment in the hovercraft."

"This thing has a glove compartment?" I ask in confusion as Sam opens a small compartment door below the hovercraft's control panel. Inside is a circular pad of sorts, with a small red button near the edge of it.

"This is an old invention of mine from several years back. It's another teleportation device. I figured that if you happened to free any other hostages along the way, this would be a useful tool used for sending them back. Y'know, so you don't have to fly back and forth every single time," Dr. Scientist tells us.

"This will sure be useful. Thanks, Dr. Scientist," Sam says.

"No problem. I'll be keeping in touch with you kids during your mission. Good luck!" he tells us before ending the call.

Mackenzie, Sam's second-in-command, starts taking charge. "Okay, guys. For this mission, we will need to take everything that currently matters to us and brush it aside."

"Done," Sam says.

"Well, what's the hold-up? Let's get rolling!" Avery says, acting way too hyped for this expedition. We all board Sam's hovercraft as he activates its "plane mode" to allow easier travel while carrying all ten of us.

RIght before we blast off for wherever our first location is going to be, I hear Avery whisper to herself, "Don't worry, Brielle. We're coming for you."

Please don't let this turn into anything more than what it already is...

Rupert flies his jet into the landing strip near the main headquarters. Black Shadow, the lieutenant, and Lance await.

"Took you long enough," the Black Shadow says after Rupert stops the jet. "What took you so damn long?"

"Sir, I managed to get three captives, all of whom meet the age requirements," Ruper replies boldly.

"Well, let me see them."

Rupert pokes his head into the backseat of the jet, yells something, and then hops outside of the jet with three girls in tow, the last one of which being Brielle (the other two don't matter nearly as much for the story, so just ignore them). Black Shadow walks up to them and examines them closely. He nods at two of them, and his lieutenant and Lance each grab a girl to take with them. Once he reaches Brielle, he stops.

"What the hell do you want with me?" Brielle asks, trying to seem brave even though she's scared as shit.

"Hush," the Black Shadow demands. Then, he walks behind Brielle and rubs his hands along the front and back of her body, in a pervert-ish sort of way. "She's a little... flat. I don't know if she'll qualify for the job."

"What job!? I just want to go home!" Brielle exclaims, panicking.

"Quiet, you!" the Black Shadow yells, frustrated. He slaps Brielle in the face hard enough to make her fall to her knees in pain. She starts to cry, and he continues to stare at her disapprovingly, shaking his head.

"Take her to the dungeon for now. I'll figure out where to put her later," the Black Shadow eventually tells Rupert, sighing.

Rupert nods and attempts to lift Brielle to her feet. She resists, still bawling her eyes out. Rupert then decides to pick her up and toss her over his shoulder. Brielle starts kicking and screaming at him like a little girl, and Rupert just takes it.

Before Rupert walks away, he whispers to the Black Shadow, "I'm really sorry if this isn't what you wanted..."

"Don't be. This makes up for your failures from earlier. Just do your job and consider yourself dismissed."

"Yes, sir." Rupert walks away with Brielle, and the Black Shadow, satisfied with himself as always, begins the long trek back to his office.

A little bit of a short chapter, but at least it looks good. I'm excited for the next chapter, as I'll be making my first crack at a teamwork-styled battle- everyone's gonna get a chance to shine in the next chapter.

Stay tuned for more.
