Mikayla woke up frantically. she put her hands on her head.
"It was just a bad dream," She muttered under her breath. Getting out of bed, she tied her platinum blond hair into a loose bun. She looked into her full body length mirror and applied a tiny bit of blush to her freckled, pale face. Her pale skin made her grey-sliver eyes pop.
"Mik! Are you awake yet?" Enzo shouted to Mikayla.
"Yes, Enzo!" Mikayla yelled down
Unlike Mikayla, Enzo has darker skin and brown hair. He has green eyes and a big strong body. After all, he is 5 years older.
Mikayla throws on her comfy pink jumper which was too big for her and some black leggings to go. She went downstairs. She saw her brother standing there talking to some guy she never met until that morning. He was tall and has fawn coloured hair and light blue eyes.
"Mik, this is my friend Liam. Liam Fordsen." Enzo said calmly.
"Hey," Mikayla said quietly.
"Hey," Liam said back.
There was an awkward silence and Mikayla wasn't sure if she were to leave or not.
"Liam my sister here suffers from social anxiety," Enzo said.
"really?" he sounded shocked.
"Yeah some kids at school, a few years back, started to kick and punch her and called her horrible things," Enzo said.
Liam was lost for words and didn't really know what to say next.
"So whenever we meet up, Liam, we do it out of this house because..." Enzo said,
"because of I am not used to meeting new people." Mikayla finished.
This, on a matter of fact, was very much true. Mikayla would hide in her room whenever her family had parties or social gatherings. This just scared Mikayla meeting new people. Mikayla had made two friends before deciding to leave school. Her friend's names were Cora Easton and Dinah Carson. They have helped and supported Mikayla as much as her own parents. Mikayla looked down at her feet not sure what to do next. Then she decided to run upstairs to brush her teeth and get her handbag. She ran back down to her brother and Liam.
"We are taking you out to somewhere special!" Enzo exclaimed to Mikayla.
Enzo and Mikayla's parents were very busy people as they were lawyers, which is great when your youngest child is suffering from social anxiety.
