"Hello? It anyone there? Where am I?" She takes a few steps forward and stops dead in her tracks when she sees the silhouette for a man around her age, maybe a little older. "Who are you?" There was no answer, only the soft echo of her words bouncing off the deserted streets around her. "I said, who are you? Answer me!" When there was still no answer, she decided she would find out who this man was once and for all and started taking unsure step toward the silhouette of the man in in the distance. Finding it hard to see well due to the fog she puts her hand a little bit above her eyes to try and see better, even if just a little and continues on at a slug like pace towards the silhouette. "Answer me now!" She commanded in a voice full of authority. There was still no answer and she was getting closer and closer to him by the second. 'I'm almost there. This stupid man won't answer me, so I will find out myself who he is.' About any arms length away she stops. Taking shaky but confident breathes she reaches her arm up...

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

Fast as lightening I sit up out of bed. "Ugh! I almost had him this time! Stupid alarm!" Swinging my legs off the side of my bed, I get up and start getting ready for school. While getting ready I couldn't help but ponder who in the world that silhouette could belong to and if I knew him, but what had me occupied the most was, if I DID know him, then did he know me? Pushing away the raging questions and thoughts in me head, I looked at the calendar and that's when I saw in bold capital letters, three words...TRIP TO FRANCE.  "Oh no! I forgot to pack my things for the band trip!" Shuffling around my closet I pull out seven pair of clothes at random and two pairs of shoes. I shoved my things into my suitcase and began walking out of my bedroom when realize I left my mystery notebook. "I almost forgot my  mystery  notebook. How would I have gotten any closer to figuring out this dream without my notes and sketches? That was a close one." Leaving my suitcase on the stairs, I turn around and enter my room once more and grab the notebook off the computer desk. Finally having everything that I need, I exit my room, shut the door for the last time for a week and walk down stairs to say goodbye to my mother before I leave.

On the way down, I wander back into my thoughts about my reoccurring dream. If there's one that I'm sure of, its that this is not just an ordinary dream. There's something about it that's just to real. "Are you okay honey? You look really bothered by something this morning" mom asks with eyes full of concern and sympathy. "Yes. I'm fine, just...just worried about the flight this morning to France I guess." I lied, not wanting to let mom know what was actually bothering me, you know, in case she interrogates me with millions of questions about the subject like she does with everything else. "Don't worry sweety, you will be fine. Now your friend is waiting outside for you so you better get going, don't want to miss your flight." Only stopping to grab her suitcase and bag, I rush to the door to meet my friend. "I love you! Stay safe and call me when you get there!" Her mom yelled after her. "Love you too and don't worry, I will!" With that I close the front door and am greeted by nature.

The slight wind twirled around me and the sweet smell of the flowers tickled my nose. Today is going to be great. How could anything go wrong? I walk down the steps and stop by my best friend Sophia. "Hey Chesney, you ready to get going?" Snapping out of my thoughts I reply, "Hum, what? oh, yes I think so." Sophia was curious as to what Chesney was thinking about but thought better about asking. Chesney was one of those people that would tell you what she was thinking about when she was ready, and not a second before, that's just how she was. "We should get going, don't want to be late. We will get last choice on the plane!" Sophia states in horror at the thought. Laughing a little, both Chesney and Sophia head off at a good pace to the parking lot across the street. Upon reaching there destination Sophia, in complete shock comments, "Nice car!" Confused I answers, "Um, that's not my car. My car is sky blue Volts Wagon Beetle." In front of them sat a brand new, beautiful red Ferrari with a ribbon with Chesney's name on it on the hood. Something caught Chesney's eye like a light draws in a moth, there was a note sitting on the seat on the drivers side.

I walk over, open the door and pick up the note like it was the most fragile thing in the world. When I opened it, it read...

"I know about your dream. You can't escape it. It's your future."

Thats not possible. I haven't told anyone about my dream. This has to be someone playing a joke on me. Ignoring the note I carefully place both Sophia's and my own luggage in the secret compartment in the hood of the car and got in. Sophia a few seconds later. They were lucky that a Ferrari had enough space for there two suitcases to fit but nothing more."What did that note say?" Sophia asks in curiosity. "I-it said...hope you like the car. It must have been a gift from my mom or something. Let's just get going were going to be late!" With a bone shaking start of the car Sophia and I  were on our way to John High.  After about ten minutes of driving, Sophie asks "how long until we get there?". "Clam down, we are only about two minutes away." I reply with a giggle. For the rest of the way to John High Sophie and I were silent, not an awkward silence, but a comfortable one.

"We're here Sophia and we still have five minutes to spare!" Opening the car door and stepping out Sophia counters with "Come ON Chesney, your so slow!" Chuckling slightly I get out of the car myself and open the secret compartment. And that's why she is my best friend. Retrieving our luggage from the car I close the hood, lock the car and put the keys in my bag. "I see our class, there, right over there, don't you see them Chesney? Come on!" With that Sophia bolted off to meet the group. How does she run with that heavy luggage?  "I'm coming!" Pulling my luggage behind me, I meet up with my class just in time, for Dr.Brandon had just started speaking. Lucky for me Sophia had saved a spot in the back of the crown of band students.
