Aftershock !!

My Brothers Keeper

Suddenly the ground stopped shaking, I had no idea what just happened . I slowly opened my eyes and looked around and noticed the ceiling now on the ground, I looked up and noticed the side I was over didn't break..not even a little bit. I said a silent prayer thanking God, I know that was him.

I looked around and noticed my brothers crying. I saw Jean, Marquis, and Emmanuel but I didn't see Pierre. I started panicking " PIERRE " I screamed out his name.KOTE OU YE (where you at? ) .

I looked around and my heart dropped. My brother was on the ground bleeding out the side of his head, I knew their was no chance of survival for my brother. I let go of my brothers and ran towards him, held unto him as I cried.

Why did it have to be my brother? What did he do to deserve this? He was so young , why couldn't it be me? I cried and cried as I held unto my brother, I know he was longer with us. I felt like it was all my fault, if I had been more careful and made sure all my brothers was near me this would've never happened. " GOD WHY HIM " , I screamed looking up. I know I shouldn't be questioning God but it hurt so much, why did he have to take my brother away from me?

I looked around and noticed my other brothers Jean, Marquis, and Emmanuel came and hugged me & my dead brother , they all was crying. " Marie, let go of him ", my best friend Greg said. I hadn't seen him earlier when the ground stopped shaking.

" I can't believe he's gone Greg, and it's all my fault I should've made sure they was near me, I should've looked for all of them but I didn't, I failed to protect my brother, He's gone because of me...", I cried
