I hate cliques. The ones where boy and girl meet, fall in love and live happily ever after. So thank god my life wasn't like that. My life was filled with disappointments, ups and downs, heartbreak but most importantly love. That love wasn't supplied by anyone else apart from me. I don't think I'd have gotten through most of my early life without the phrase

"Love yourself first"

It helped me overcome a lot of struggles and allowed me to move forward and accept myself for the amazing person that I am.

"God you infuriate me!" I yelled as I stormed out of the diner and entered the cold heart of the night.

"Yeah well you infuriate me!" She shouted following me from behind.

"Wow nice come back" I mocked sarcastically as I span around on my heels so I faced her.

"Wouldn't you like to know." She hissed while she crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes.

"That doesn't even make sense!" I argued in an aggressive tone.

"Well neither do we but..." She lunged forward, her hands cupped my face. God they were so soft. Wait! What was she doing? My eyes met her dark hazel eyes and I searched for something to say within them but I was mesmerised.

"What are you doing?" I whispered so quietly that I didn't know if she heard me or not.

Suddenly, she closed her eyes and pulled me closer, our lips crashed together and my body shivered at her touch.

"Hey babe you ready?" Joe called from downstairs as he waited for me at the door.

"Just a minute." I replied as I fumbled down the stairs, trying to put my shoes on. I quickly pecked his cheek as we ran out and got in Joe's car and left for college.

Five long minutes past as we made small talk. We'd been dating for over a year and I guess you could say we were great with each other, we were a great match. It was easy being with joe, I never had to worry about him, plus I'd known him forever. Even though it shouldn't, it made me a little bored sometime. I thought to myself, what If the man I should be with is out there and it's not Joe?

Quickly, I blocked the doubts out of my mind as we pulled up into a spot. We both climbed out of the car and met up with a couple of our friends. Dayna and
TJ stood next to the college doors as heir faces illuminated in huge smiles.

"Hey." Joe mumbled as he first bumped TJ.

Suddenly, the roar of an engine erupted and made everyone's attention to be on its source. A Harley Dickinson 2018 forty eight special came to a stand still as its owner tuned off the engine and swung heir leg off. I was fascinated. No one I knew was that ballsy to have a motorcycle let alone have one that looked like that. The owner had their back to me as they grabbed their phone from their pocket.

"Who is that?" Dayna whispered.

"I have no idea." I replied, wanting to know who too.

Swiftly, their helmet flew off and a cascade of ebony hair fell down their back. Turning around abruptly, her face showed no emotion. She strode for the doors and walked through them leaving me bewildered.

"Erm so yeah... we're going to the diner after school, so you two want to come?" Joe asked as he slung his arm around my shoulder.

Snapping out of my daze, I smiled at my boyfriend and kissed his cheek. Dayna gave me a quick wink before giggling and looking at TJ.

"Sure, I'm in if you are?" TJ questioned as he grinned at her.

"Great we're all going!" Joe beamed as we all walked inside.

Looking up from my desk in bio, I saw her. The girl from before. Her dark hair was even more prominent now than it was before. Without realising, I stared at her features and memorised her face. Her dark hazel eyes, her petite nose, her soft rosy cheeks, her perfectly shaped lips...

God what was I thinking? Am I gay? No there's not way, I thought. I loved Joe. I told myself that it was just because she's new. Yeah that's it, she's new.

"Is this seat taken?" It was her. Keep your calm.

"No well I guess it is now?" I smiled and made a mental note to kick myself later.

"Whatever." She replied with a scowl. What? What just happened? What did I say?

"I'm Waverley by the way." I stated.

"Right..." Her eyebrows raised as the corner of her mouth began to curl.

What do I say? Does she want me to leave her alone?

"I saw you on your bike earlier, looked really nice." SHUT UP! What are you doing? Stop talking and go find somewhere else to sit before she thinks I'm this weird freak."

"Yeah?" She asked actually acknowledging something I said. "I looked nice or my bike did?" A smirk fell onto her lips as my face turned bright red.

Is it wrong that I want to say both?

"The bike."

"Shame." She said with a smile.

Wait?!

"Hello class, I hope you're all ready to learn." Mr.Johnston yelled.

For the next two hours I tried to distract myself from her by working harder than normal but it was no use. Her presence was unsettling and gave me weird vibes that I couldn't explain.

As class finished and she began to walk to the door I grabbed her arm and pulled her toward me.

"I never caught your name."

"Get off me freak." She yelled as she aggressively released herself from my touch.

"Sorry." My whole face turned bright red and my eyes fell on the floor.

With the roll of her eyes and a head tilt she began to walk through the doors but not before she said one last word me to, "Eretria."

Hey so this is my first book that I'm writing and I really hope that you all like it. As someone who's discovering her sexuality I felt that I'd want to share my story and help others that are going through the same things as me
