I could feel the rush of pain as I was being pushed into the ambulance
"Is she going to die mommy?" I heard Nicholas ask my mom
He sounded so innocent
He didn't know what I went through everyday
All he knew was that sissy hurts herself
But why?
He never asked anyone why
Until I got sent home from the hospital a week later.
"Did you take your pills shay?"
Mom yelled from the hall
I didn't answer for a minute
"Ofcourse I didn't. Why would I take those? "
"I'm not going to give you some special treatment because you almost died. Take your pills and get ready for school"
She doesn't care
Not one bit
And I will take my pills
