Two- Ruby

Imagine Ruby being in love with you, and him planning to tell you on your birthday/imagine Ruby going all out for your birthday❤️

Light. Too much light. You blinked a couple times to adjust, reached on your nightstand to see the time, realizing it's your birthday. As you scrolled through your notifications, you noticed no one texted you happy birthday. Not even the crew. Not even Ruby. That was the most surprising part. There had always been something between you and Ruby, you were just unsure of what it was. You assumed him of all people would remember. He had always gone all out for your birthday for years before that, making sure it was perfect. Now that you thought about it no one had even brought up your upcoming birthday. And it started to hurt your feelings. But being the stubborn and curious  you were, you decided not to tell them it's your birthday, maybe they knew and forgot to text you. We'll see.

No one knew. No one mentioned it at school. No happy birthdays. No smiles. Barely anyone even talked to you. Ruby wasn't at school all day and it was obvious the crew was hiding something, you just didn't know what.
And honestly, it sucked. They forgot your birthday. But again, you were extremely stubborn, and refused to believe so.
So you walked over to Ruby's house. You pounded on his door, to see his Grandma answer. Nervously.
"Hola Mija" she said to you.
"Hey, abuela! Do you know where Ruby is?" You asked brightly.
"He's upstairs. He has a cold. Very ill and contagious." She said in her thick Spanish accent.
"Oh alright." You said, walking away. Disappointed and sad.
So you walked over to Cesar's, your mom was out of town so you just wanted to get out of the house. You knocked on the door wondering if Oscar would answer. You weren't best friends or anything, but Oscar respected you and your family. And cared for you like a brother.
You heard feet walking and then the door swung open, and to your surprise, it was Monse. You chatted awkwardly for a couple seconds, which was weird considering you are best friends. But finally, you gave up on the day and decided to go home.
You walked through the door and turned on the lights, jumping as you heard "Surprise!" Coming from at least 50 people. You smiled, as you got hugs from all the people in there. And then Ruby walked up to you. You gave him a hug and thanked him profusely, knowing if anyone could plan all this, it's him.

You walked around the party and chatted some more and found out, that Monse was at Cesar's trying to make sure Jamal wouldn't spoil the surprise. They apologized and hugged you profusely. You then decided to go outside to take a breather for a second. You took a deep breath and just admired your life.
"Need some company?" A voice you would recognize anywhere asked. Ruby.
"Sure." You replied.
"Y/N there's something I need to tell you."
"Okay" you said nervously as to what he needed to tell you about.
"I'm in love with you. I've always been in love with you. But you probably like Cesar, and that's fine. It happens. But you just need to know. But you also need to know that I will wait for you. As long as it takes. Because the day you love me back will make it all worth it. So there. I'm gonna g-"
You leaned in to kiss him immediately, showing the feelings were mutual. As you pulled away, you both smiled
"Go" he finished laughing.
"Time to cut the cake!" Monse shouted unaware of what had just happened.
You walked inside and saw the candles lit on the cake. You smiled and blew them out.

You didn't make a wish though.

You already got what you wanted.
