Hints to Help Follow the Story

In Elementals, they live in the area of Mentis Mund, which came from elementis mundi, the latin words for elemental world.

Each element either branches off from another, such as earth goes into more specifically rock or nature. While they are basically the same thing, one element controls all of it's branches.

Each Elemental has their crystal of immortality if they were born as an immortal, and each has their marble of power. Neither can be recovered if broken, though if either are, you will lose your immortality and/or power, depending on which is broken. (There are things to protects them, so don't freak out if someone trips ;) )

In each clan, you have a group of people you are forced to work with to help your clan become dominant. Clans war against each other every 2 years. (In the story a other worldly god DOES come and ravish the world and all clans work together and change some of the rules, as in deciding who will be dominant and order, who will fight, and who will stay in a normal life and go back to the basics.) Whoever is dominant clan gets the best land, better wages by the four gods who are basically the government, better materials for their daily life, etc.

In the story, there are different types of Elementals. The Immortals are the most common. They only die if their immortality crystal is broken. Demigods are the next most common. They have a crystal that grants them more immunity to things that would often kill them. Jumping off a cliff would hurt them for example, not kill them. However, a stab through the heart will kill them over time instead of immediately, unlike a normal human who will die within seconds. The lowest and most uncommon rank is a Semihuman. Semihumans are more known as cripples, a slang word for them. They are granted slight immunity to some things that will hurt them, but in the stab scenario they would die almost instantaneously like a regular human. Jumps like off a wall or from a 5-foot boulder would be easier (just a scenario). And then we have humans, who are as said, just human. There are rarely any, but usually they use technology and nanites to form their "powers."

The main characters will shift, all will eventually become their own group and friends.

This story is almost entirely off a game my friends and I made up and played constantly, with a few changes in the storyline. There will hopefully be a sequel or something, so look out.

Author's Note: So I am definitely a procrastinator and a slow updater but I will ty to update frequently and make a sequel later on. Stay tuned!
