(Some mature themes might be present in this one. Not too bad though, I promise!)

Eira hated her monsters.

She believed in ones that lived under the bed, and in the closet and even one that came out of her tablet to torment her at night. She always slept with a night light, and like clockwork they always appeared at 10 pm to scare her.

Tonight was different though. Because when the monsters awoke to reign terror, there was no Eira. In fact, in her place her mother kneeled at the bed and prayed while sobbing violently. Her father sat next to her, tears silently pooling in his eyes that he wiped away quickly.

He stood and gently coaxed her from the bed "come on dear, we need to sleep as well" he says softly.

"I don't want to sleep knowing my Eira is out there with some strange man!" She shrieked, pushing his hands away. "I can't sleep knowing that!"

"I know hun, but if you stay up until you find her you'll have driven yourself mad. Come, not sleeping won't help you find Eira" she finally calmed down enough to be taken from the room and to bed.

Once the lights were out, the monsters emerged. From under the bed, a chupacabra and Cerberus emerged from underneath "everyone come out. Meeting time now" Chupacabra calls.

The closet door was thrown open, and the golem emerged. The gremlins were perched atop the Golems shoulder, cackling in their usual ways. "What's going on? Where's the girl?" The Gremlin Nonk says.

"Not sure but the older version of the girl was noticeably upset" Golem says slowly.

"It's her mother Golem, not older version of the girl geez." Gremlin Not says this time, shaking her head in disdain for the giant clay creature.

"I didn't ask Not" he says again, brushing the Gremlin off his shoulder and rolling his eyes in annoyance as she bickers at him from the ground. She ended up grasping onto his arm and crawling back onto his shoulder.

"Sirena" Cerberus barks, all three heads turning to the tablet sitting on the desk. A wave of water emerged from the screen and a blue head poked out, wiping water from her eyes.

"You called?" "Where is the girl?" Gremlin Nurn throws out.

Sirena hummed in response and dipped back into the tablet water, rising again a few minutes later. "It seems she's been kidnapped. A police report was filed only 2 hours ago."

"Kidnapped?!" Gremlin Not shouts, stomping his foot angrily.

"Who took our child?" Golem says, "we need to get her back."

"But how? The humans are already searching" Chupacabra points out. "The humans aren't me, give me 20 minutes. I'll find a trail and then we can retrieve Eira" Sirena responds.

She jumps back into the water again, all of the monsters in the room getting angrier and angrier over their missing kid. "She's probably terrified right now" Cerberus growls. "Only we're allowed to scare Eira, what human dares to think they can lay a hand on her?"

Water sloshed from the tablet in a huge wave and out came Sirena as the beautiful blue Siren that she was. Blonde hair cascaded down her shoulders and over her exposed breasts and immediately every monster began to groan "put some clothes on Sirena. You can't go out in public like that!"

Sirena rolled her eyes "we're monsters Nurn. We can't go out in public at all, but if you insist" with a wave of the arm, she was covered in a cloak. "Anyway, I've discovered the location of Eira. I suggest we go now; she seems to be in no immediate danger but the man who grabbed her is planning to ship her elsewhere."
