Preface.
Please read Love in the Dark first as if you haven't you'll be confused. This is just Patrick's story from where he abandoned his siblings and mother in search of a purpose in life. Along the way he meets Eliza, his wife, a smart young adult named Edwin, and raises a new group called the Pure Ones. Patrick's past however is filled with memories of an uncertain future and even his beliefs are put to the test. To go back to his mother and the United States is out of the question as old and new enemies come out of the shadows to destroy the two superpowers and the Tytonic Union of the Pure Ones.
