he vibration and rhythm of the music creeps through my chest and is beating along with my heart. I sat along with my friends at a local club in a Friday night.

The empty bottles in front of me is a representation of my being. I used to be full of dreams and hope. Today is a different story since life decided to take its toll on me.
I rest my head on the couch to lessen the headache from drinking almost six bottles of beer. I slept, not knowing it would bring me somewhere else.

. . . .
The Harris family, a wealthy family, who once led the village of Castle Combe known as the prettiest village is a picturesque little community nestled on the edge of the Bybrook River.

The late David Harris, his father and Mrs. Victoria Harris, his Mother. Invited all their friends, relatives and business partners for a party. It's Trevor Harris' 17th Birthday, the one and only child of Harris Family. His parents prepared a glamorous event which made his existence grand and blissful.

Trevor is a good child. He is family-oriented. He is a Dean's Lister student at Mary Mount University. His good looks captivated the hearts of many young woman yet his heart never seeks a lover at the time.

The party as expected, being held by a rich family is without a doubt, fancy. The guests were joyful to be a part of such event let alone witness the growth of the young Trevor. The party wouldn’t end without a word coming from the young boy’s parents. They stood with elegance, the love between them still blooming despite the years. The heartfelt message made Trevor appreciate his family and value his life.
But the happiness he felt for 17 years vanished in a split second when he heard a gunshot and saw his parents bathe in blood.

Trevor ran off to the stage, he shouted and begged for help…
“Mom! Dad! Help! HEEEEEEEEEEEELP!”
… but none came.
The rain drops and the sobs from the crowd were no match for the tears and pain of Trevor as he bid farewell to his parents.
After the funeral of his parents, his friend named Zachary Phantom opened his arms and the door to his house as he welcomed Trevor to become a new member of his family. But Trevor thinks he’s too broken to be a part of something new.

He went home feeling empty. He stayed there for almost three days. As he walk on his door. He saw a letter that broke him even more.

“Dear Trevor,
Happy Birthday! There was something important that we want to tell you. Even though it is deemed inappropriate to say it here, in this letter, it’d be best if you learn without having to see us yet. We found you in a basket when you were just a baby. We felt like you would be something special in our lives and we were right. Yes, my son. You are adopted but you will be our son, forever and always.
P.S. Your special gift awaits in our room, come see us if you still want it.
P.P.S. We are your gift.

Love,
Mom and Dad”

With all the strength he had, he stood up and went straight to his parents’ room hoping he’d find them there, yet he found nothing but emptiness. A weight pounded his heart and tears flowed. Another pang he suffered. At that moment his knees dropped to the floor and cried until he fell asleep.

The next day he went out riding his car. He was actually going nowhere, while roaming around he saw a glamorous girl wearing a simple white dress and he followed the girl in white. He accidentally bumped into her, and took the opportunity to get to know her. Days went on and he followed the girl in white. He felt normal and complete just by looking at her.
“Can she fix me? What I am feeling? It’s like she’s summoning me” Trevor thought.
After a few days of stalking and getting to know the girl, Samantha Granger – a wealthy heiress from the town Venice. Trevor invited her to go to a coffee shop. Trevor entertained Samantha, at first they're both shy but as time goes by they seem to be each other’s go-to person.
The bittersweet aroma of the coffee summed up the feeling they both had for one another. The bitterness and the pain that Trevor felt slowly faded as he went on with his life, alongside Samantha.
He pursued Samantha for quite some time with patience, respect and commitment. Their love was then sealed by a kiss under the moonlight on their 10th date night. That night ended with the sound of I love you and lingering giggles.
Their usual moment is to go to the coffee shop to talk while enjoying each other’s company. They also go to the mountain top to witness the sunrise and sunset. They also like boating along the river at Castle village. Their burning love made the relationship work despite the mini fights they have.

Trevor thought this was the time that he deserves happiness after being in the dark side for a long time.

Another day after their exams. Samantha and Trevor went to the Mountain. They talk about their happiest moment together as they reminisce the memories they had, the sunset came.
"Trev…” Samantha whispered.
“…let's stop this I'm not yet ready. Stay away from me, I don’t need you, you are just a distraction to my studies. I promise not to leave you because I love you, however this love has taken over me and I don’t want that this love is keeping me from what I should be doing. I’m sorry Trevor but I really have to do this.”

Samantha ran off the hill alone, Trevor was left alone once again. His knees trembled as the pain came running back like a punch in his heart.

"Why would you give me this life if pain is the only thing that won’t leave me!?"
All the pain he felt made him the person he is now. He came back to the darkness, and was left feeling lonely.
. . .
“Trev! Wake up!”
His eyes shut open and was relieved to know he’s in the bar. How unpleasant, I am not free of pain even in my sleep, he thought.
The people that surrounds him now are the people who saw his pain. They may be filled with piercings and tattoos, they did not fail in letting him know he’s not alone.
This bar, and the people in this place, is his safe haven. Somewhere he can be miserable and still be accepted.
Who am I kidding? The people I am with now will leave me eventually ones I run out of money. No one will stay, only pain will.
Pain makes you stronger they say, but no it doesn’t.
It only stays inside until it eats you up.
Pain might not want to leave me, but I can free myself from it.
*bang!*

Trevooooor!”
